Assessment item: What culture means to me
A Reflection: ‘Culture is…’
This is an opportunity for you to present a creative piece of assessment
describing what culture means to you. Your assessment may be presented
as:

a poem, piece of prose or short essay about one page in length

a visual story using images and captions to reflect on culture

an audio file in which you discuss your concept of culture

a piece of traditional art such as dot painting that reflects your
culture

a combination of the above.




What I like about my culture
Assessment item: Formation of culture
What is a culture? What are the factors that contribute to cultural diversity
and influence the formation of your culture?
There are many factors that determine specific values or behaviours of a
person’s family or social group, and contribute to the development of their
culture.
Describe some of the influences that determined your culture. This could
be related to your cultural identity, family and social norms, beliefs,
special needs, age group, personal experiences etc.
