Reporting to the office when visiting school
For security reasons, we would ask parents to report to the school office when
visiting the school.
Late arrival to school
All students who are late to school MUST report to the office accompanied by a
parent/adult before going to class.

The theme of our Assembly today was Fair Trade
Behaviour Focus of the Week
Following Instructions.
World Book Day – Thursday 5th March
Thursday 5th March is World Book Day and to celebrate children can come to school
dressed as their favourite book/movie character. Children can also bring their
favourite book to school (labelled) and they will be given the chance to read from it!
A £1 book token will be given to each child next Monday.
Easter Assembly Dates
Friday 20th March – Year 1 & 2 @ 9.30am
Friday 20th March – Year 3 & 4 @ 11am
Friday 27th March - Year 5, 6 & 7 @ 9.30am
Donations of Milk Cartons no longer required
Thank you for all the milk cartons donated.
First Communion – Sunday 26th April @ 1pm
First Communion will take place on Sunday 6th April at 1pm, St. Patrick’s Church,
Magheralin. All Year 4 children and parents are invited to the school to enjoy a special
Communion party with their classmates. The party starts at 2.30pm and all are
welcome – parent helpers are especially welcome.
Spanish Tuition – Years 5 – 7
If you have not already paid £10 per family for Spanish Tuition for Years 5 – 7, we
would be grateful if you could do so as soon as possible.
Community Art Club
The next Art Club will be held in the school hall on Saturday 7th March from 11am 12 noon. All children from pre-school age up to 8 are welcome. Parent helpers are

Movie Club
Unfortunately Movie Club scheduled for Saturday 7 March has been cancelled. Details
of a new date will follow.
Year 7 Residential Trip to Corrymeela
Year 7 will be going to Corrymeela from Tuesday 21st – Friday 24th April, costing £186.
If you wish to pay in full or in instalments, please bring your money to the school office.
Year 6 Residential Trip to Ardnabannoon
Year 7 will be going to Corrymeela from Tuesday 16th – Friday 19th June, costing £130.
If you wish to pay in full or in instalments, please bring your money to the school office.
Comenius Host Families
Thank you to everyone who has volunteered to host children. If you have not received
an Access NI form for all adults in your household, please contact the office.
Please put these dates in your diary – Monday 11th – Wednesday 13th May 2015,
children from Italy will be arriving on Friday 8th May. The children
will be from Finland, Czech Republic or Sardinia (Italy).
