I am a keen, hard working person who enjoys working with other people especially in a team. I am a motivated person in all aspects in what I achieve. I have excellent communication skills both verbal and non-verbal.

I believe I am a very well mannered, friendly person and easy to approach. I have been informed by many that I am a good listener and keen to help at all times and to the best of my ability.

I find this sort of work most rewarding to me as I can make a difference to patients lives and the families at all times and when most needed. Patients like to converse with different people and take their mind off their problems and I like being the person they can come to for this. Due to my experience with other patients I know that the need to be independent is a large part of their lives. I realise that everybody is an individual and must be treated equally to according to their own needs.

I wound like to further my knowledge in all aspects of work that can offer and I believe that I wound be able to do this with ease and confidence.

I find it most rewarding when I know I am making a difference ,even if it just a small smile off the individual whom I am taking care of. I enjoy listening to patients, and taking care of them and generally being around them as people.

Rapid response were called out to assist the police and ambulance service. A lady needed to go into hospital for medical assistance. However she was refusing. She was barricading the door with furniture so nobody could gain entry.

I went to the door, introduced myself and explained to her why I was there. She at first told me to go but I kept talking to her. She then removed all the objects behind the door and let me in, followed by the paramedics and my colleague. She was not happy with my colleague being there and demanded her to leave the house, she and another medic went out of the way so the lady could not see them, they went into the next room so they still could hear what was said.

The lady was very agitated and angry she was swinging her walking stick around, so

I explained that I was going to sit down and asked her to as well. So we could have face to face contact at all times. I spoke to her in a calmly and clearly explaining why she needs to go with the ambulance men. With some persistence she gave in and followed me and the paramedics.

I feel that I have played a large part in this team and helped towards achieving the best result.

Out of work I like to do cycling, going to fitness classes, plenty of walking with the family and the dog. My daughter has a horse witch needs a lot of help with getting ready for showing and training, so I am mostly there to assist. Now and then we go to VW shows and camp.
