DONUT DAY is December 19th !!
The St. Helens Police Department will once again partner with the Columbia Pacific
Food Bank for the 7th annual DONUT DAY event. The St. Helens Police Department
and the Columbia Pacific Food Bank join together to exchange food for Krispy Kreme
Donuts and help to feed our friends and neighbors that have difficulties putting food on
their tables. Cash donations made between now and DONUT DAY are used to purchase
the donuts and for incidental costs, like renting the appropriate clothing for our volunteer
Santa. This year we anticipate live music and Christmas Carols to help Santa through the
day. We also anticipate a professional photographer will be here to take family photos
with Santa.
The St. Helens Police Department invites member of the public to come to the Police
Department, located at 150 S. 13th St., on December 19th, 2009 from 7:00 AM until
3:00PM., and drop off food donations. Each single, perishable or non-perishable food
item will earn you one donut, two food items earns two donuts, three food items earns
three donuts and so on, up to a maximum of two dozen donuts per person.
Donuts will also be available for sale without a food donation for $9.00 per dozen.
One December 19th at 7:00 AM we will start the day with 175 dozen fresh Krispy Kreme
Donuts to exchange for food donations. We encourage everyone to come early, because
when they’re gone, they’re gone!!!
