Application
Tour Date: May 30th, 2015
Hosted by: The Minnesota Renewable Energy Society
Welcome to the 2015 EcoMetro Tour application process. The Minnesota Renewable Energy Society (MRES) will be
choosing 8 to 10 of the highest quality sites in the Metro Area to feature in an 8 x11 full color guidebook.
This guidebook will act as tour goers’ “ticket” to visit the sites and will cost approximately $15 per person to purchase.
You can see last year’s guidebook here and the website here.
Please call us with any questions!
To be eligible for the tour:

Your home or project must have at least one renewable energy system, and incorporate the concepts of
energy efficient and sustainable building practices.

It must be in the 11 county Metro Area.

Projects must be camera ready by October 24th, 2015
The selection of projects will be based on a mix of criteria to create an event that will attract a wide audience of tour

The application deadline is October 24th, 2015 for sites without professional, high quality pictures taken
already. Other projects can be submitted by mid-November 2015. The selection committee will schedule and visit the

The submitter is responsible for "in-house" logistics the day of the tour on Saturday, May 30th, 2015 staffing
your project from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. with knowledgeable and articulate individuals who can answer questions about the
project (e.g. owner, architect/designer, builder, mechanical contractor, solar installer, landscaper). Minnesota

people to remove their shoes.
Thank you! The funds from this tour helps support the work of the Minnesota Renewable Energy Society and allows it
them to continue to educate citizens on the potential of solar energy, coupled with smart design/construction and
