Dear Parents
Year 5 Visit to Cathedral
As part of our ‘Who Lives Here?’ topic this half term, we have organised a trip to Norwich
Cathedral on Friday 11th October for the children to experience a workshop entitled ‘It’s a
Monk’s Life’.
The Cathedral’s new education centre is providing a carousel of activities for the children to learn
more about how people lived, and what role the Cathedral played, in Medieval and Tudor
Norwich.
We will be leaving the school shortly after registration on the day of the visit, and will be back in
time for the end of school.
The children will all need to bring a packed lunch (if you qualify for free school meals a packed
lunch will be organised). Children will need to be in uniform.
The cost of the trip is £6.60 per child which covers the coach hire, Cathedral charges and
insurance. No extra spending money will be needed on the day.
We would be grateful if all payments could be sent into school, via your child’s class teacher, by
Friday 27th September.
