Thank you for returning the Self-Certification forms. We are pleased to confirm the
exemptions selected and have awarded them to the programmes named above for
five graduation cohorts. We will monitor graduate performance in CIMA examinations
and any other appropriate quality indicators during this period to assure ourselves of
the appropriateness of the exemptions awarded and this information will be taken
into account when re-accreditation is sought in five years time.
This decision will only be applied to students who have studied at the home campus.
Any franchise arrangements now or in the future, are not covered by this decision
and these would require a separate application. Students joining the programme in
year 2, (or year 3 of a 4 year programme) will be assumed to have completed the
accredited programme and will be awarded exemptions appropriately. Students
entering directly into year 3 (or year 4 of a 4 year programme) will not typically benefit
from the accreditation decision.
I attach to this letter a summary of the exemptions awarded for your records.
It is particularly important that we are updated if any changes occur to the module
codes, titles, or their core/option status as the Student Admissions team use this
information to apply exemptions when graduates register with CIMA. Please do also
bear in mind that any substantial changes to the modules’ content or assessment
methods may also impact upon the exemptions which have been self-selected.
