The conference attracts more than 500 practitioners from around the country. Themed, “Your Network @ Work: Managing Transitions, Techniques and Technology for Career and Business Success,” the conference addresses the latest strategies and newest technologies to keep PR professionals competitive and viable, especially in a down economy. “As a society, we are still in the midst of the most challenging economic times since the Great Depression and the public relations industry is among those hardest hit,” said NBPRS President Wynona Redmond. “The conference brings together recruiters and qualified candidates at the Career Fair, provides excellent networking opportunities with corporate and agency leaders and offers solid programming to help keep the NBPRS network working,” Redmond said. Topics include social marketing and media, branding, the new “hybrid” PR professional, social responsibility, emerging trends in PR, current case studies and recent lessons learned.
