The Absolute 'Final' Word on Global Warming

One of the top three issues that Americans disagree about is “global warming”. But just
recently, evidence proves that even if there is warming, it’s not by human intervention.
But considering that this topic has been so hotly debated, with so many uttering a ‘noholds’ barred condemnation of “global warming”, it’ll be interesting to see how many
admit to being wrong.
Recently, the Danish Center for Climate Change reported verification of the physics of
cloud formation[tinyurl.com/y5kz5f], reported in the Royal Society of London. The
correlation between solar magnetism, cosmic radiation, and cloud formation has been
known to affect ‘global warming’.
About 10 years ago, Danish researchers Henrik Svendsmark and Eigil Friis-Christensen
hypothesized that cosmic rays from space directly influence climate. The effect was
cloud formation in the lower atmosphere. Minus the ‘techno speak’—less cosmic
radiation would mean less cloud formation and warmer temperatures. It is known that
clouds cool the climate by reflecting ~20% of incoming solar radiation. In mid October,
those researchers announced that they had experimentally verified the physical
mechanism by which cosmic rays affect cloud cover. Observational data reveals that
cloud cover reduces the heating of the earth’s surface by 1.2 watts/square meter.
Interesting how that matches up with the 1.4 watts/square meter(per “UN”) for any
temperature increase ‘due’ to CO2 since the Industrial Revolution.
Grippingly, it was reported in the Chinese Science Bulletin(10/4/06), that in comparisons
between temperature variations and solar activities, that both temperature trends and
climactic events are related to solar variability. Even more interesting are multiple
scientific studies that show Mars and Pluto undergoing ‘global warming’, occurring on
time scales of earth’s most recent shifts(NASA; California Institute of Technology-Jet
Propulsion).
Some other items come to light if ‘circumstantial’ evidence is to be considered. The
‘hockey stick’ graph(claiming that 1990-2000 was the hottest decade in 1000 years), was
shown to be invalid. The Southern hemisphere has not warmed in the past 25 years.
Results(Journal of Geophysical Research) of the Antarctic grounded ice sheet exceeds
previous estimates, and has been growing over the past quarter-century(171 mm/year).
European satellites have measured Antarctica’s ice thickness 347 million times between
1992-2003, and found it to be gaining 45 billion tons of water/yr(Dennis Avery/State
Department).
Sea levels have been rising—since the end of the last Ice Age(20,000 years ago). But
there is no evidence of an accelerating trend. In Alaska, temperatures(Journal of Climate)
show a cooling over the 25 years since 1976. Droughts(Geophysical Research Letters) in
the US have become less frequent, less severe, and cover a smaller portion of the country
over the last century.
Earlier, Al Gore made a movie called “An Inconvenient Truth”(AIT). Many saw it as
flagrant political propaganda. Marlo Lewis[CEI] actually issued a 10-page analysis of
Gore’s ‘interpretation’[www.cei.org/pdf/5539.pdf]. In the analysis, he details 26 ‘onesided’, 16 ‘misleading’, 8 ‘exaggerated’, 26 ‘speculative’, and 18 just plain ‘wrong’
arguments of issues mentioned.
No matter what you believe, there is absolutely NO ‘scientific consensus’ that global
warming will cause damaging climate change, or the precise extent of man’s effect on the
climate. Scientists agree that the global average temperature is 0.6 oC higher than 100
years ago. Both James Hansen(NASA/ father of the ‘greenhouse’ theory) and Richard
Lindzen(MIT/ most renown climatologist in the world) agree that, even if nothing is done
to restrict greenhouse gases, that the world will only see a 1oC temperature increase in
the next 50-100 years. Surface temperature measurements(which cover only a small
fraction of the earth) show sustained warming, but quite differently, satellite and weather
balloons(that cover the whole atmosphere) show only a very slight warming. Most
climatologists realize that climate is not a significant factor of vector-borne diseases such
as malaria.
One of the many claims of ‘AIT’ was easily defused, when it was learned that of the 13
populations of polar bears in Canada, 11 are stable or increasing in number. Also the fact
that the ‘Clinton’ senate(1997) voted 95-0 against Kyoto--not Bush. The current Kyoto
Protocol could cost the world up to $1 trillion per year in regulatory bills, higher energy
costs, and lost productivity(Paul Driessen/CORE/Congress of Racial Equality). He also
admits that perfect compliance with Kyoto would result in a temperature fall of only 0.1
oC by 2050. Major past climate changes are not related to atmospheric CO2 changes.
CO2 increases do not precede temperature changes, even though CO2 changes have been
20x higher in the past than today(S. Fred Singer/American Geophysical Society). Much
of this provides further evidence that it is the sun that rules the world’s climate—not
CO2(Pollisar/ National Academy of Sciences).
The information about Svendsmark’s myth-shattering study has been published in very
few mainstream media publications. If you happen to see this in print, it may be quite
telling.
