ABOUT THE COURSE
This course is specifically designed for persons who want to become licensed property and casualty
insurance agents and brokers. For those who manage a business enterprise, it can also be very valuable
because the course covers commercial as well as personal lines of insurance. Successful completion of
the course qualifies participants to sit for the NYS Property & Casualty Agents & Brokers licensing
examination as specified under Sections 2103(b) and 2104 of New York State Insurance Law. SUNY
Fredonia is approved by the NYS Insurance Department under School Code 73550.
ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR
Our instructor is Warren McPherson, CPCU, ARM. A Cornell University alumnus and an insurance
consultant, he has been instructing the NYS Agents & Brokers licensing course beginning in 1979 and the
Continuing Education course since 1995. He has more than thirty years’ experience in the insurance field.
