development of arts in Malaysia, by providing a versatile, world-class art gallery for Malaysian and international artists
to display their works. Nestled between the PETRONAS Twin Towers in Suria KLCC, Kuala Lumpur’s premier shopping
destination, GALERI PETRONAS has received more than a million visitors since its opening.
With numerous local and international exhibitions, GALERI PETRONAS aims to make art accessible, enjoyable and
engaging to all levels of the public and will continue to enthrall audiences with exciting exhibitions and public programs.
We are currently looking for experienced and suitably qualified candidates to fill up the following positions:

Key Role
Execute, organize, manage and implement all public art programs including establishing any special programs in
promoting GALERI PETRONAS, generate further public interest in, and appreciation of art towards the preservation and
promotion of Malaysian art, in line with industry standards, meeting customer expectation and in line with PETRONAS’
Corporate brand positioning and Corporate Agenda.
Main Responsibilities
1. Organise, supervise and coordinate the execution of art programs and activities for the public within the
gallery/on-site through research and survey of potential art programs as well as providing dynamic, credible and
quality facilitation, demonstration, and visitor interaction to ensure effective promotion, understanding and
appreciation of art amongst visitors, thus establishing Galeri PETRONAS as a leading resource for informal
learning.
2. Supervise and coordinate the implementation of special art learning programs for specific groups by providing
innovative, entertaining and enriching learning activities based on creative approaches to ensure effective
stimulation for participants and visitors, thus nurturing their curiosity and interest in the areas of arts. This
includes preparing workshop materials/art materials for art workshops, securing participants/ follow-up
enquiries/ providing information to media on scheduled public programmes
3. Schedule and coordinate Out-reach programs (eg. Art-In-The Park, Art camps for children, etc) in collaboration
with other educational institutions or any interested institutions / organizations to enhance public and
institutional collaboration in art appreciation and art education.
4. Assist in organizing conferences and seminars /forums on art and culture, educational programs and art-related
topics (which are independent of the GALERI exhibitions) towards promoting creativity and development and
support of Malaysian art with the aim of ensuring a smooth flow of activities that adhere to Company standard
and preserve the Company’s reputation and image. This includes securing, informing, and registration of
participants for GP’s public programmes
5. Coordinate and execute the annual Artist-In-Residence (AIR) programme involving participants from Malaysia as
well as from countries where PETRONAS has business operations through fair and thorough selection process,
implementing the AIR public program activities for the resident artist(s), sharing art knowledge and conducting
art appreciation sessions effectively to the public, thus elevating credibility of Galeri PETRONAS exhibits and
programs.
6. Plan and coordinate the implementation of virtual art programs using the internet to find and develop new
audiences such as working adults, retirees, travelling public, or audience with special needs where virtual art
programs serve as medium in creating a venue for people with many perspectives to enjoy, learn and interact
with the gallery, and similarly through on-line programming.
7. Plan and execute procurement of all items and services to be purchased by Special Programme unit via on-line
creation of Shopping Cart in SAP system, monitoring for delivery of ordered items, verifying invoices, creating
GRN (Good Receipt Notes) or SES (Service Entry Sheet) and follow through with Finance Dept (FS2) for on-time
payment processing via SRM 7.0 and Process Director, in compliance with company’s policies and procedures
8. Compile and collate the publications and documentation of the public programme pre, during and post event
for archival and public reference to further elevate the development and preservation of Malaysian art
9. Providing support in administrative procedures for public programmes i.e. public correspondences, quarterly
performance review, budget preparation, coordinate and schedule meetings, documentation, filing and record
of documents.
Key Qualifications & Experience
Education
 SPM/STPM with strong credits in Bahasa Malaysia and English/Preferably Diploma in Fine Arts/Exhibition
Design/Event Management, or its equivalent,
 Some knowledge in Malaysian and world art history, art education, art philosophy, art practices
Experience
 At least 3 years of working experience in any event management, marketing, or related fields
 Experience in organizing events and programmes in an art environment (art gallery, art museum) is much
preferred.
Competencies/Skills
 Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Able to converse and write fluently in English and Bahasa
Malaysia. Additional language is an advantage.
 Strong organizational and event management skills
 PC literate, with working knowledge of Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Access)

Key Role
To contribute to and implement the public and media relations plans and other day-to-day operational requirements of
the marketing department, encompassing all core marketing functions such as marketing research, advertising,
promotions and related administrative duties towards achieving GALERI PETRONAS’ objective of preserving and
promoting Malaysian art.
Main Responsibilities
1. Prepare and recommend creative designs and multi-media presentations, interactive displays and digital-based
visitors’ aids and other up-to-date materials and information related to GALERI PETRONAS activities for display
on the Website. Must therefore possess the knowledge and ability to convert documents from various software
applications to a format applicable on the website.
2. Conduct preliminary research and recommend appropriate Web-based programmes / IT applications necessary
for the Website to be linked to other URLs/ approved and relevant Websites as well as the appropriate and
effective search engines and determining the key words.
3. Coordinate the systematic procurement, storage, movement, tracking and recording of corporate/media gifts /
premium items inventory movement within department and for external use
4. Prepare comprehensive checklists for GALERI’s official events, coordinating meeting requirements and ensuring
that all minutes of meetings and other Marketing & Communications documents are systematically and securely
filed.
5. Conduct on-going competitive research and intelligence gathering for marketing purposes (eg local Galleries,
Museums, Entertainment/Leisure centres, etc, according to category, and documenting current offerings)
6. Coordinate and execute PR, media and networking events (eg preparing guest and media invitation list, media
kits, coordinating logistics, sending out invitations, coordinating venue set-up, etc).
7. Plan and execute procurement of all items and services to be purchased by Marketing & Visitor Services Unit via
on-line creation of Shopping Cart in SAP system, monitoring for delivery of ordered items, verifying invoices,
creating GRN (Good Receipt Notes) or SES (Service Entry Sheet) and follow through with Finance Dept (FS2) for
on-time payment processing via SRM 7.0 and Process Director, in compliance with company’s policies and
procedures
8. Assist the Marketing Executives in;
 Design and production of all advertising and promotional collaterals, including liaising with relevant
agencies, vetting of content and promotional copy to ensure no errors, etc.
 Maintaining and updating the website content
 Preparation of speeches, notices, media releases etc. as and when required.
9. Assist in developing and disseminating promotional messages via GALERI’s contact database, such as media
invites, e-invites, e- promos, fax sheets and distribute promotional info and materials through relevant channels,
including ensuring adequate supplies of promotional collaterals at various distribution points, according to
promotion schedules.
10. Attend to public enquiries, correspondences and invitations and handle all internal and external Marketing
correspondences
Key Qualifications & Experience
Education
 SPM/STPM with strong credits in Bahasa Malaysia and English/Diploma in Public Relations/Marketing/Mass
Communications, or its equivalent, and
 Preferably with knowledge in Malaysian and world art history, art education, art philosophy and art practices
Experience
 At least 3 years working experience in marketing, public relations, communications, advertising, customer
service, event management or related fields.
 Working experience in an art gallery or museum environment is preferred.
Competencies/Skills
 PC literate, with working knowledge of Microsoft applications and basic knowledge of Graphic Design
applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power point, MS Access, Adobe Illustrator)
 Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Able to converse and write fluently in English and Bahasa
Malaysia
