Type Details: BioAnalytica-Genotype SA was established in December 2004 as a
biotech startup aiming to provide specialized molecular cytogenetic and molecular
genetic research and application services to the biomedical community. It is cofinanced by the Greek General Secretariat of Research and Technology.
The company provides state-of-the-art genetic analysis for the research community,
biomedical professionals and enterprises. The company offers advanced molecular
cytogenetic analysis for the diagnostic and prognostic evaluation of neoplastic
diseases as well as for aiding the clinician to therapeutic decisions. The company
aims to design and development of new genetic tests to be used as an adjunct to
classical laboratoty services in Oncology, hematology, andrology/male infertility and
other biomedical fields.
BioAnalytica-Genotype SA has assembled a highly capable team with academic
background, many years of international and broad-ranging experience and
specialization in a wide range of genetic analysis technologies, including karyotype,
FISH, HR-CGH, M-FISH, qualitative and quantative PCR, DNA sequencing, mutation
and polymorphism detection, analysis of gene expression by RT-PCR and Real-time
PCR. It is the only genetic lab in Greece with ISO 15189 accreditation. The
laboratory staff participates in international and European specialized genetic
networks and has served as external experts and consultants in cancer genetics both
at national and European level.
