The general division of factors influencing aerologic hazard is reminded in the introduction. Some properties of coals of the Upper Silesian Coal
Basin are presented stressing on these of diversity asystematic with respect to the bedding conditions. Analysis of mining depth influence on the
aerologic hazard level is made where their diverse sensitiveness is determined. Sensitivity on climatic and spontaneous fire hazard is somewhat
broader discussed showing its most important elements resulting from the depth.

Integrated measuring system for air flow parameters testing in working.

Assumptions, conception and construction of a thermo-anemometric sounder for multi-point, simultaneous measurement of temperature fields and gas
flow velocity under special conditions for example in industry or mining are presented. The matrix of such sounders, called also heads, along with
data acquisition system is used in the portable measuring system. The sounder structure as well as possibility of sounder realization in various variants
is discussed. The particular sounder models enable measurement of temperature, velocity of flow, turn detection of flow as well as measurement of
quick changing flows. Examples of characteristics testing results of angle heads equipped with the measuring element in the form of a thin-layer
platinum-ceramic sensor are presented. Constructed and laboratory tested measuring system has been practically used for the experimental
verification of the numerical simulation of flow in a mining working.

Evaluation of parameters of outburst gases and rocks in hard coal mines of Upper Silesian Coal Basin.

The analysis of parameters used in Polish mining for evaluation of hard coal seams regarding the outburst hazard is made. It has been stated that along
with the seams bedding depth the deposit pressure of gas increases as well as losses of gas during sampling for methane content by direct method
increase. A complex index for hard coal seams outburst hazard evaluation is proposed as well as it is stated that in Polish coal mining there exist at
present real conditions for current monitoring of the gas and rock outburst.

The basic legislative act regarding to the issues connected with the liability to bumps and evaluation of bumps hazard in the Polish hard coal mines
are the executive regulations to the Geological and Mining Law. During a few dozen years we have had to do with evolution in this subject matter. At
grounds of legislative records changes are operating needs of mines resulting from among others changing geological conditions (permanently
increasing depth of mining) as well as worsening mining conditions. Constant improvement of mining technology and bumps prevention contributes
to significant reduction of bumps number in hard coal mining in Poland. But one perceives the need of amendment of executive regulations to
Geological and Mining Law in the range of qualification of rock mass liability to bumps as well as qualification of workings into the states of
bumps hazard.

Determination of convergence and viscous properties of salt rock mass ZG ”Polkowice-Sieroszowice” as

Many authors show divergence between a thrust obtained by modelling way and measurement. Roadway working convergence measurement results
can be used for verification of geo-mechanical models. The convergence method of determination of a simple geo-mechanical model parameters is
presented. Depending on time distribution of the vertical and horizontal thrusts on the working contour and surrounding has been modelled and
compared with surveying results in ZG ”Polkowice-Sieroszowice”. The constitutive law of elastic-sticky medium with Hooke’s law and power creep
law have been applied. Results of surveying have been approximated by the curves of relation between convergence and dimensions of working, the
distance from its contour and time. Selecting a proper set of parameter values of the assumed physical model a good conformity of calculations
and surveying results as well as approximation functions have been obtained.

Price of brown coal as transfer price. Legislative aspect – introduction.

Liberalization and restructuring of the electric energy market, and specially liberalization of brown coal prices in 2003, caused the problem with
fixing of them and invoked tensions between mines and power plants. Lack of market price and mutual dependency of the both parties (e.g. belonging
of both parties to the same holding or owner) cause that the price can be treated as a transfer price. These issues have been discussed from the
legislative and economical side in the series of three articles. In the first of them one concentrated on the legislative aspect paying attention to
functioning of the transfer prices in economy and legislation. Attention has been paid to the growing importance of transfer prices and appearance of
many new legislative regulations in connection with the hazard of the treasury income reduction in transactions between entities being connected.
Possibility of treatment mines and power plants as entities being connected and possible legal consequences resulting from it, including for the proper
fixing of coal price, has been considered.

Problem of paraseismic vibration damping at passing from subsoil to protected objects is discussed. Changeability of damping indices is shown on the
basis of filter analysis of vibrations activated by blasting operations in various raw materials, variable geological conditions of deposits and their
surroundings as well as mining conditions. It is pointed out how imported element is correct designing of research taking into consideration influence
of blasting technology on intensity of vibrations activated by explosives detonation.
