We have a 2-year history w this group, supplying them w $4000 grants in 2006 and 2007,

We support a Children’s Club, a side project of the group, providing blankets, shoes, flour, mosquito nets, uniforms, mattresses etc. They need funds to pay for child counselors($50/month) as well. It is the best funded group we support, but this side project is not funded by others.

KAIPPG – $1000

This NGO supports HIV positive communities by providing them with medical care, information, and working with a sustainable development model. They work with groups from 2-10 years, and eventually remove their support when the groups are financially self-efficient. Our funds would help develop programs, and would specifically go toward their orphans and vulnerable children project, buying uniforms and school supplies for children, as well as supporting other basic needs.

Furaha Orphanage – $2000

Had been supporting 23 orphans without any funding source. Our funds support basic goods like bedding, food, as well as school fees, etc.

Shikokho Women’s Group/Solid Rock Youth Group- $1000

Group is loosely sponsored by Foundation for Sustainable Development, our money goes to support the youth group. The youth group currently supports 110HIV/AIDS orphans at the local primary/secondary school through this program by providing them w medical care at the clinic, feeding them breakfast and lunch, and providing them uniforms and school supplies. By helping to defray their costs we help free up more money for the clinic and nurse salaries
