I am the director of the ELT Program at ITTIHAD University. RAK
Courses taught at IU:
Foundations of Education, Curriculum Planning and Development, Educational Evaluation, Educational
Psychology, Educational Technology, Methods of Teaching English1 , Teaching Practice 1, Methods of
Teaching English II, Teaching Practice II, Error Analysis, English II, Writing skills.
I taught in the B.Ed. program in Higher Colleges of Technology ADWC for two years. I taught the following
courses: Teaching Practice Preparation and Review 1a, Cognitive and Language Development, Curriculum
Planning and Syllabus Design, English Language Studies 3a, Assessment and Evaluation, Reflective
Practice and Research Methodologies in Education, Management and Administration. I was also supervising
student teachers in their TP. I participated in the Syllabus design and the accreditation of the B.Ed. Program.
Previous experience: 9 years Supervising English language teachers in public and private schools and
training them to teach English by tackling training courses and workshops on: Preparing daily lesson and
annual plans – Teaching the four language skills – learning strategies – Successful classroom management
– Teaching English to young learners – Preparing teaching aids – Assessment and evaluation – Designing
and developing the exam papers – Using technology in teaching EFL – CALL – Tackling research papers –
Action research – Evaluating the teachers’ performance inside the classrooms – Supervising teachers’
research papers – Sharing in the evaluation of the EFL curriculum – Supplying teachers with references –
Sharing in EFL teachers recruitment in the UAE – Training EFL student teachers from the UAEU, ZU, HCT.
I also taught English for 10 years to all school levels in the UAE Governmental schools.
