Post-task questionnaire 1 1- Briefly outline (in few bullet points) the role of ‘knowledge’ as a human asset in comparison to its role as an organizational asset. Knowledge is what is stored in the memory; such information or knowledge is a understanding of words or information represented. Information is a organizational asset, information is organized tacit or tangible. Tangible and tacit assets are stored physically in the memory or a physical medium like a word application. Tacit is organized – expertly, but it needs interaction, needs converting tangibly, Can be synchronous and asynchronous. Tangible is organized organizationally, into departments and in groups, this can be searched for in keywords like for example metadata 2- When captured tacit knowledge is documented and added to the tangible knowledge of an enterprise, a. Would you classify it as structured or unstructured knowledge? b. Why The approach of the human mind in or learning styles is varied according to the way we learn and how we best take in knowledge. The majority of people think using word association they don’t need to have a picture in their mind to remember. So the approach of word associating a hierarchy style would be beneficial to according to research 70% of people who think and take in knowledge by word association, they do not need pictures, illustrations, graphs, mapping . This knowledge for myself would not stay totally in my mind it would be unstructured as I think and convert using pictures to remember ideas, so it does not matter if the knowledge was stored organizationally, in a computer like a database I think this works well, hierarchal in a computer is different than the human mind were we all think and take in knowledge differently. c. How can such knowledge be retrieved? In the human mind knowledge can be retrieved using this approach, it is effective if this style of thinking is the way the person likes structuring ideas in their mind, people who use memory techniques to remember differently they use a different and better way of remembering they uses associations, pictures and what is called pegging to remember, but interestingly they organize alphabetically, ORGANIZATIONALLY. So the answer would be I think knowledge can be retrieved better in mapping ideas as with mapping it applies to all people. 3- Consider the following as a focus concept: ‘repository’. Using appropriate concepts from the article, develop a conceptual cluster that define it. The article in which we reviewed in class.? Knowledge management is stored in several approaches including data in which is stored in physical mediums and in the human mind; tacit and tangible approach is used to organize to retrieve information from the stored medium, tangibly stored hierarchal, or into groups. The tacit approach is managed expertly but needs converting tangibly, also the tacit approach can be synchronous or a asynchronous.
