VRQA Transition Notice – 22298VIC Course in Basic Oxygen Administration
To comply with Condition 9 Transition to Training Packages/Expiry of Accredited Courses in the
AQTF Essential Conditions and Standards for Continuing Registration, registered training
organisations (RTOs) are responsible for managing the transition to current accredited courses by the
date of expiry of the superseded course, or the date specified below in this Transition Notice.
VRQA RTOs are advised of transition arrangements for 22298VIC Course in Basic Oxygen
Administration
Please note that there can be no new enrolment of any students in the superseded
course after 31 December 2015.
1. On 18 August 2014 the Minister for Higher Education and Skills directed the VRQA to make a
standing application to amend scope of registration for training package products as stated in
Ministerial Order 142. The standing application does not apply to a VRQA accredited course.
2. When a VRQA accredited course expires and is replaced by an equivalent course, RTOs may
apply to transition to the new course by completing the attached VRQA Transition Notice. No fee
will be charged for change to an RTOs scope of registration when submitting a VRQA Transition
Notice.
3. RTOs currently delivering the equivalent course and wanting to add the course listed in the
attached Transition Table for Equivalent Courses should email or fax the Transition Notice to the
VRQA before 31 December 2015.
4. On receipt of a completed Transition Notice, the VRQA will assess your application for eligibility,
and if appropriate add the course.
5. RTOs who do not submit the transition notice by 31 December 2015 must apply using Form B
and pay the relevant fee. The Summary of VRQA fees and charges is available at

If you are registered with the VRQA and you want to replace the superseded course currently on your scope
with the re-accredited course, you will need to meet requirements outlined in the declaration statement, sign and
return this form before 31 December 2015.
Please note:

There can be no new enrolment of any students in the superseded course after 31 December 2015.

You may only apply to upgrade your accredited courses using this form where the courses are already on
your scope of registration.
After 31 December 2015, Victorian RTOs will need to apply for an extension to scope using the Form B
application – refer to www.vrqa.vic.gov.au.

