Dear prospective player,
Allegany Soccer Alliance will be holding tryouts for their club soccer teams on November 15th, 2015 and
November 22nd, 2015. It is recommended that players attend both tryout dates but they are only
required to attend one. The two tryouts will allow the coaches and evaluators a second opportunity to
effectively analyze the talent of the individual. Tryout times, on both days, for each age are as follows:

U18 Boys (born August 1, 1997 or later):
- 8:00am – 9:30am
U16 Boys (born August 1, 1999 or later):
- 9:45am – 11:15am
U14 Boys (born August 1, 2001 or later):
- 11:30am – 1:00pm
U12 Boys (born August 1, 2003 or later):
- 1:15pm – 2:45pm
U10 Boys (born August 1, 2005 or later):
- 3:00pm – 4:30pm
14-18 Year Old Girls (born 8/1/97 – 7/31/02):
- 4:45pm – 6:15pm
We are requesting that players attend the appropriate age group tryout per their birth date. If an
individual is close to the age cut-off and would like the opportunity to make the team and play at the
older level, they will be able to attend both age group tryouts. Players must attend the tryout for their
actual age group. We will handle such situations on a player by player basis.
Please plan on arriving to the tryout 15-30 minutes early to allow for plenty of time to fill in the
necessary paperwork and begin getting warmed up. Please come to the FSU Cordts Center (Gym) lower
level lobby to handle paperwork, receive tryout shirt, and be directed where to go. There are two links
below which require your attention before tryouts. These are the ‘FSU Release Form’ and ‘PreRegistration’ which are required. Minimally, please make sure all signatures/medical information are
complete before the tryout. If you cannot complete the Pre-Registration, it can be done on-site before
the tryout, but completing the process online will expedite the process. Please make sure to fill out all of
the information on the Pre-Registration form. You may have to copy and paste the links into your
browser’s (e.g. Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome, etc.) address bar.

The tryouts will be taking place on Frostburg State University’s turf (the Auxiliary Gym in the PE center
will act as a backup if weather conditions are not conducive to being outside). Players are required to be
properly equipped for the tryout: each player should bring outdoor soccer spikes, indoor soccer shoes,
shinguards, and clothing appropriate to be outside or inside. All individuals participating in the tryout
are also requested to bring water and a soccer ball for their personal use.
The final item that the players must bring is $10 to cover the cost of a tryout t-shirt. The shirt will have a
number on the back that will enable all coaches and evaluators to differentiate the players. The players
will then keep the shirt following the tryouts. Numbers will be dispersed based on size and order of
arrival rather than player preference.
