ASPIRE Academic Practice Workshop
Programme and Module Design: Towards Accreditation
Workshop Aims:
This course is designed for academic staff and administrators who are involved in or have an interest
in Programme and/or module design which inspires students to engage actively with their subject
discipline at all levels of the curriculum. The seminar is designed to help you to ensure that your new
or revised programme specifications and module descriptors are creatively and appropriately
designed and successfully meet the requirements for formal accreditation. Contributors to the event
include Dr Dilly Fung (Head of Academic Development) and Kate Hellman (Academic Policy and
Standards).
Notes: the last section of each session will take the form of a hands-on workshop for enhancing or
finalising your own programme specifications or module descriptors. Please bring any ‘in-progress’
drafts with you to the session to make use of this facility.
