Computer Room Booking Form ARD - Timetables & IT Services If you wish to give lectures or classes in one of the classrooms equipped with computers during the academic session 2011-12, please complete the form attached to this letter and return it to your Departmental Manager, along with the timetabling form for the course before Friday 18 March 2011. Computer Classrooms The computer classrooms are all located on the lower ground floor and first floor of the St Clements Building. All of the classrooms are equipped with a data projector and a whiteboard. There is at least one laser printer (charge 4p per A4 side) in each classroom. The following computer classrooms can be booked. The computers all provide access to teaching software on the School’s network. Please note: All the computers in the classrooms have Alceste installed but permissions need to be set for each user. If you require this application for teaching please contact it.support.acad3@lse.ac.uk Please see the available software list at lse.ac.uk/itservices/software If you wish to use software or a software version that is NOT on this list of network software, please consult your Academic Support Team before the end of February 2011. After this deadline, IT Services will not be able to accommodate requests to provide any new software or different software versions in time for the start of the 2011-12 academic year. Getting Help You are advised to discuss the use of PCs and computer classrooms as part of your teaching with your Academic Support Team (see the attached list for contact details). Academic support staff will be happy to advise on any technical aspects of preparing materials or using these rooms. The Teaching and Learning Spaces Service provides urgent assistance for the use of IT and AV equipment in timetabled teaching. Phone extension 5300 or 5400 (please allow up to a minute to connect the call). Booking The Timetables Office will allocate a room based on the expected number of students. If you wish to use a specific room please tell us on the booking form by completing the ‘Preferred Computer Classroom’ box(es).
