Arts Activated 2014 Cultural Program The Arts Activated 2014 Cultural Program is a series of curated events that will take place across Sydney and its surrounding suburbs, during the Arts Activated Conference week. The program features events that advocate leadership, education and information for people with disability across the arts and disability sector. Detailed Cultural Program Studio ARTISTS Cushion Up Collaborating with Koskela, Studio ARTISTS will exhibit two and three dimensional artworks. ‘Studio ARTISTS Cushion Up' features a range of hand painted, hand printed, stitched, dyed and heart fully made soft sculptures and home wares. See the spectacular Bondi to Tamarama coastal walk transformed into a 2km long temporary sculpture park featuring over 100 sculptures by artists from Australia and across the world. Sydney Opera House Creative Play Shadow Tables Shadows are endlessly fascinating and have intrigued artists throughout history. The Sydney Opera House Creative Play team has dived into these traditions weaving in contemporary gaming technology to create a giant table around which anyone can make colourful and wonderful shadow art. Use your hands and body to create shadows that are manipulated with computer graphics. Its physical, playful, intuitive and colourful. Accessible Arts works across the North Coast region of NSW to establish new arts and disability networks. Recently, he has performed with the Wollongong Symphony Orchestra in their Classical Spectacular and the Tenor soloist for Beethoven’s 9th Symphony.
