TERMS AND CONDITIONS

English language tests take place on Mondays at 13.30 at St Albans Campus.

Maximum number of students in a class is 20.

There is a separate sheet entitled Terms and Conditions (and this also appears on the
back page of the application form) which details information on enrolment, withdrawals,
attendances. This is on the website www.oaklands.ac.uk/International

Course fees include a small contribution to materials. The tutor may ask you to buy a
coursebook, which may cost around £25. You can buy these books at Waterstones or
online at www.Amazon.co.uk . In addition it would be useful to buy a file and notepad,
which would cost around £10

The college runs the Trinity Certificate in TESOL. Normally trainees would only teach a
maximum of two classes. If your classes are taught by a trainee, we will run an extra class
for you

Leisure programme
The college offers a free general leisure programme to students. Students can use the student
lounge between 8.30 and 17.00 to play table tennis, watch TV, play video games and catch up
with friends on Facebook. There are other clubs students can attend as they are offered e.g.
book club, boxing and so on. The EFL department runs 2 or 3 trips per year to places of cultural
interest. The trips usually cost £8 -10 depending on student numbers and destination
