Wesner-Rath – Thursday, 1941 Miss Sylvia Wesner, Roger Rath Are Married Thursday Mrs. Maude Wesner announces the marriage of her daughter Sylvia, to Mr. Roger Rath, son of Mrs. Charles Rath of Denver, Colorado. The marriage took place in the First Baptist church Thursday evening at 7:30 with Rev. M. F. Langley officiating, using the single ring ceremony. Preceding the ceremony, Miss Mildred Marie George sang, “Because,” accompanied by Mrs. Carl Weigand, sister of the bride. Mrs. Weigand played “Liebestraume,” throughout the ceremony. The couple was attended by Miss Mary Alice Fisher, cousin of the bride, and Bob Nevitt, cousin of the groom. The bride was given away by her brother-in-law, Mr. Carl Weigand. Mrs. Ruth was attired in a rose crepe dress and wore a corsage of sweetpeas. The bridesmaid wore a blue dress with a matching corsage. Immediately following the ceremony, a reception was held at the home of the bride’s mother. After a short wedding trip to Wichita, Kans., the couple will be at home in Alva.
