Categorizing and Classifying (Read the Classifying Clouds Workbook pages)

Study the phonics review or spelling words /o/, /oo/, and /yoo/.

Study singular and plural nouns:
A noun names a person, place, thing, or idea.
To form the plural of most nouns, add –s or –es
To form the plural of a noun ending with x, s, ch, sh, or ss, add –es
To form a plural of a noun ending with a consonant + y change the y to i and
add –es.
To form the plural of a noun ending in a vowel + y, add –s.
Nouns that end in f or fe, the f changes to a v before –s or –es is added.
Nouns that end in o, the plural may be formed by adding either –s or –es.

Review (Correcting Sentence Fragments)
A complete sentence has a subject that tells who or what the sentence is
about.
It also has a predicate that tells what the subject did or what the subject is
like.
A sentence fragment lacks a subject or a predicate.
Sentence Fragment: The blast of an eruption.
Complete Sentence: The blast of an eruption topples trees and buildings.
