Page 1 The next 8 weeks : Hectic, daunting, exciting, rewarding Attendance – It is imperative that all students attend all classes and rehearsals. Rehearsals – can be very long & tedious, so please be patient, as we work very hard to ensure each student feels confident & able to perform their best – Superstars !! 1 Weekend off only in Term 3 holidays. Last day for Term 3 is Saturday 26th September (re-commence 9th /10th October) 2015 Performance will be held at : Scott Theatre, University of Adelaide, Kintore Avenue, Adelaide Venue - plenty of seating available NO LIMIT ON TICKET SALES TICKET SALES ONLINE !! TICKETS ON SALE – SUNDAY 20th September ( 6pm ) Due to the fabulous response to the online ticketing system over recent years, we will once again have our Performance tickets available for purchase online. No waiting in line for hours. Book your tickets from home. Choose your seats & print your own tickets/receipt. There will be no tickets available for sale at the studio. Make sure you know the correct number and type of tickets you require as there will be no refunds or exchange of tickets. Ticket sales are managed by an independent company, not through the Academy, so it is out of our control! Ticket Pricing: Adults $30 Children (0-16) $18.50 Helpful hints when purchasing tickets Please Note: Babies, Tinies B & Tinies A finish at the end of Act 2 (These students may watch Act 3 for free – but must sit on someone’s lap – no ticket required ) Also : be aware that there are the stalls & the dress circle (upstairs) for seating As of Sunday 20th September 6pm : Ticket bookings available via links on EDAD website : www.edad.com.au OR via links on EDAD Facebook ( if you are a friend !!) Full Dress rehearsal 4.30pm start Friday 6th November – ALL Students NO make-up required. Hair to be done basically as will be for Performance. Anticipated finish time, Babies & Tinies approx 7.30pm, All other groups approx 10pm 2. Evening Performance 7.30pm start Saturday 7th November – ALL Students Full Stage make-up required & Hair-do as per group listing 3. Page 2 NO Action photographs will be taken at the theatre this year Backstage roster system for dressing (new/old mums) entire weekend. Lynda to distribute. Keep things organized backstage Make sure everything is labeled. If not dressing, drop child off at check-in at back door stage entry and come back to collect.(Kiss & Drop) Be patient waiting to collect children, please – they will be brought to you as soon as possible NO eating in costumes. Water Only. Non-messy snacks only. Dressers bring wipes to clean hands Make-up not to be shared. Come with it already done. Food NOT TO BE SHARED due to allergies. Rules: Costumes are NEVER to be worn to & from the theatre ( Backstage & onstage ONLY ) Costumes in bags, hung Name EVERYTHING Shoes – clean / painted Paint available at studio Don’t wear shoes / costume to theatre No dress ups – costumes are required for 2 years Bulk orders of tights and crop tops or bra will be available at Studio Label costume bags with items in it. Take care with headpieces – use clear plastic containers Bobby pins, safety pins, fringe pins required by ALL No alcohol backstage!! Backstage Security - No badge – No entry: All backstage Dressers & Staff will be issued with a badge. This must be worn at all times. All staff & backstage volunteers will be required to provide a current Police Clearance. Students must be dropped off & collected from the Back Stage door only Act2 finish(Babies,TiniesA&B)These children may watch the 3rd Act–no ticket required–but must sit on a lap. All others will finish at the end of Act 3 Children will only be allowed to leave with a parent OR notify if not collecting child or if going home with someone else. Please inform us at drop off. Costume listings & helpful hints distributed shortly. Special Note : Please remain seated during the Performance as people coming & going is considered rude & is very off-putting for the students. If you must leave the Auditorium, please do so in between items. Parking can be difficult as the theatre is in the heart of the CBD. Allow time (and coins) for travel & parking meters. Don’t leave anything on display to attract thieves ***No lessons 5th - 11th November inclusive (Performance weekend plus recovery !!) ***Lessons then continue 12th November - 5th December - details to come Saturday 5th December is the last day of classes for 2015 which will include : - in-class Trophy presentations (all students receive a trophy in recognition of their participation in 2015) - performance DVD distribution ( Online orders close 28th November ) Come ‘n’ try Introductory Package is available for Post concert classes in readiness for 2016 new student enrolments.
