PALM SUNDAY
"The important question to ask is not, 'What do you believe?' but 'What
difference does it make that you believe?' Does the world come nearer to
the dream of God because of what you believe?"
Verna J. Dozier, 20th century
"The Christian faith has not been tried and found wanting.
It has been found difficult, and left untried."
G.K. Chesterton, 20th century
As we enter the sanctuary to praise God and the prelude begins, please
observe a respectful silence for the sake of those who use this time for
prayer and meditation.

Lord!
All: Hosanna! Blessed is the One who comes in the name of
the Lord!
One: Who is this One who comes?
All: It is Jesus, who teaches us to do justice, to love
kindness, and to walk humbly with God.
One: Hosanna! May God come to you today with renewed faith,
hope and love.
All: Hosanna! Let us worship God!
UNISON PRAYER OF INVOCATION
We praise you, God, for this good news: Jesus of
Nazareth has come to Jerusalem today! Great crowds have
gathered to welcome him, laying their coats and palm
branches along his path. He has come into town humbly
riding on the back of a young colt. Some say he is the King
who comes in the name of the Lord. He looks like one of us,
but there is something special about him. Just about
everyone is praising his name. If only we could understand
everything he has taught us. Maybe we will understand
later someday. O God, have we really paid attention to the
words he spoke; to the parables he told; to the ways he
healed; to his compassion for the outcast and broken; to his
weeping over the city of Jerusalem; to his illumination of
your love. Help us, O God, to listen to Jesus’ invitation that
we all become children of light, love, and peace. Amen.

that you please put your cell phone on vibrate. If it is absolutely
necessary to take a call during worship, please do so downstairs in the
Lower Narthex or Vestry. Thank you.
The LOCAL (LOwer CApe Lunch) lunch and dinner, located at and

newsletter, The Parish Visitor, photos of many church events, and a page
describing our mission activities with a link detailing our mission giving

Sunday worship – and much, much more!
WIDER CHURCH
The World Council of Churches Ecumenical Prayer Cycle asks us to pray
this week for Brueei, Malaysia, and Singapore.
During the month of March, our church members donated a huge supply
of personal products to the Orleans Food Pantry. It has been sincerely
and gratefully appreciated by the recipients. A huge thank you to
everyone who made donations!! For the month of April, we are looking
for other items which cannot be purchased with food stamps...such as:
dish soap, laundry detergent, and cleaning products. Once again... we
can make a difference in the lives of our neighbors who are in need.
Looking for a 2015 summer camp experience? See the MAC/UCC
