4 days and 5 nights Ahmedabad and vicinity tour conducted between November and February.
Arrivals on Friday evenings and departures on Wednesday mornings. All inclusive* package per

Day 0 (Friday): Welcome to The House of MG- Ahmedabad.
Arrival- Introductions & Orientation
Welcome dinner at Agashiye- the terrace eatery of the House of MG
You will be received at Ahmedabad’s Sardar Patel Airport by our representatives and transferred to the
House of Mangaldas Girdhardas. The House of MG is located to the East of the River Sabarmati and
opposite the famous 16th century Sidi Syed Mosque. On arrival, you will rest for a day and in the evenings,
we will get together for introductions and a brief orientation which will be followed by a well acquainted
traditional dinner at Agashiye, the terrace eatery of the House of MG.
Day 01(Saturday): Museums and Monuments
Calico Museum of Textiles- Gandhi Ashram - Ashram paper factory- Sarkhej Roza ComplexVeechar Museum of Utensils
Bus: Local, Walking: light, Meals: Breakfast- lunch- dinner.
You will begin the tour from the Calico Museum of Textiles, a famous museum of textiles in Asia. After a
one and a half hour guided tour of the museum, you will visit the Gandhi Ashram, the residence of Mahatma
Gandhi, a memorial, where you visit Mahatma Gandhi’s cottage. Next to the Ashram, you will also visit a
paper factory of handmade paper, supported by the ashram in keeping with Mahatma Gandhi’s principles of
self-reliance.
After lunch at a famous 5 star hotel, you will return to rest at the House of MG. You will spend the evening
at the Sarkhej Roza built around an artificial lake. After watching the sunset you will visit the utensils
museum at Vishala, where you will have a rural Gujarati dinner at the village style restaurant, sitting crosslegged on the floor, listening to folk music and watching folk dances.
Day 02 (Sunday): Sun Temple at Modhera & The Little Rann of Kutch
The Little Rann of Kutch- Sun Temple at Modhera
Travel Time: 5 Hrs, Desert Safari: 3 hrs, Walking: light, Meals: Breakfast-lunch- high tea-dinner.
You will depart early in the morning for Zainabad for a cross-desert safari in the Little Rann of Kutch, the
only sanctuary for the Asiatic Wild Ass in India. You will watch our exotic wildlife like the handsome
chestnut-brown wild ass, chinkara gazelle, blue bull antelope, Indian and desert foxes, and desert birds.
You will also visit the salt pans of this region. At the Bajana Lake, after watching large flocks of water birds
like flamingos, pelicans and cranes, you will return for lunch to the village resort at Zainabad.
After high tea, you will return to Ahmedabad by evening. En route, you will visit the Sun Temple at
Modhera, famous for its exquisite sculptures depicting scenes from the epics with the traditional erotica.
Dinner at the House of MG.
Day 03(Monday): Heritage Walk & Nalsarovar
Walking tour of the old city of Ahmedabad- Nalsarovar Water Bird Sanctuary
Travel Time: 3 Hrs, Walking: medium, Meals: Breakfast-lunch-dinner
Begin the day with an early morning walking tour of the old city of Ahmedabad. The 1.5 km tour will take
you through old quarters and cul-de-sacs called pols to see havelis (old mansions), courtyard temples, where
you will see a market, shops of textiles, silver and gold jewellery, along side the mausoleum of Ahmed
Shah- founder of Ahmedabad. The walk ends at Jumma Masjid, a 15th century mosque, one of the most
impressive Islamic monuments in India. You will return to the House of MG for breakfast and rest.
After lunch, you will spend the afternoon canoeing at the Nalsarovar Bird Sanctuary and see exotic
migratory birds. It is one of the most important wetlands in the country which spans over 121 sq km and is
studded with hundreds of little islands. At the end of the day, after enjoying a magnificent sunset at
Nalsarovar you will return to Ahmedabad. Then, get dressed for a Gala dinner featuring North Indian
Frontier Province cuisine at luxury hotel.
Day 04(Tuesday): Vintage & Classic car collection and local bazaars
P Bhogilal’s Car Museum- Hutheesing Jain Temple- Shopping
Travel Time: 3 hrs, Walking: medium, Meals: Breakfast-lunch- dinner.
You will start the day at the Hutheesing Jain Temple complex, built 1850’s - a marvel of Jain Architecture.
After which, you will leave for Dastan, Mr. Pranlal Bhogilal’s famous car museum featuring an
overwhelming collection of vintage and classic cars - the finest and largest in the world. For lunch, you will
return to the House of MG.
You will have the afternoon to yourself. In the evening we will take a short drive around the city, visiting
boutiques, selling ethnic products and shop at the famous night market at Law garden. Tour ends with a gala
dinner at a unique location.
Day 05(Wednesday): TOUR ENDS- CHECK OUT NEXT DAY AT 9 AM. Post breakfast.
