Minutes of March 14, 2007 Executive Committee Meeting

Call to Order: Caline Olson called the meeting to order at 10:05
Agenda: Motion to Approve agenda M/S/C (Guetter/Gilman) MCU
1. Discussion regarding possible meeting for finance people involved in the Prairie
Winds project. Motion by Paul Bissonette, seconded by Wayne Gilman to:
Schedule Finance Meeting to coincide with Program Sharing Meeting in
April. MCU

2. - Update on snowshoes and cross-country skis – Caline Olson reported the local
newspaper printed photos of their students using this equipment. Jim Guetter
said they had 80 on skis and snowshoes just a week earlier.
- Update on February Program Sharing meeting – Attendees find them very
worthwhile and asked to have another one in April.
- Updates to NW MN Council of Collaboratives – Faye will do these monthly.
- Update on UND Contract – Faye will check into continuation as part of original
contract signed.
3. Faye Auchenpaugh reported on her communication with Shahla Ortega, program
officer. Ms Ortega declined at this time to approve the transfer of monies from
one category to another because not enough districts had reported expenditures.
4. Faye will send email to all members to remind them to submit expenses in a
timely manner. She will also check with the NWSC auditor regarding districts
submitting vouchers for expenses incurred through yearly contracts. It was
suggested that districts submit all expenses for this project year by July 11. The
Executive Committee will then meet on July 18 to discuss timelines and
parameters for spending funds – if the project is funded for a third year.
5. Motion by Jim Guetter, seconded by Wayne Gilman, to approve proposals,
within budgetary constraints, from Greenbush/Middle River, Kittson Central, and
Norman County West for overage funds. Faye will send another reminder to
members of funds available.
6. The Annual Performance Report is due May 2, 2007.
