ATTACHMENTS:
1. The completed application form with a resume listing extracurricular activities (both in
school and community), employment, honors or awards, and leadership opportunities you
have been involved in during high school.
2. A Mayflower essay on the following topic: It is the evening of November 11, 1620 on the
Mayflower. Imagine that you are one of the male passenters who has just drafted, discussed,
and signed the document that was later named the Mayflower Compact. Write a 750 word
essay in which you explain to your wife and family what the discussion was about and why
you signed the document. .”
Your essay must include references to document the facts that you use.
Essays will be evaluated for content, organization, style, and grammar. All entries must be
typewritten and sources cited in appropriate bibliographic style.
3. One letter of recommendation from a teacher, counselor, business person, peer or family
friend.
4. A copy of your official high school transcript.
5. A copy of your SAT and/or ACT scores.
6. Information on your Mayflower ancestor, if applicable.
The deadline for applications is March 1, 2016. Any applications postmarked after this
date will be ineligible for consideration.
