“MOTIVATION FACTOR”
WORD SEARCH
ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION
The learners will locate and circle the responses to a puzzle. By doing so, the students
will identify various methods or terms associated with motivation.
Instructions:
 Provide each learner with a copy of the Motivation Word Search Puzzle.
 Instruct learners to think of 16 words identifying ‘things’ motivated employees
receive from their supervisors. Locate and circle the terms to the best of their
ability.
 As learners locate and circle the acronyms in the search puzzle, the facilitator will
walk quietly through the room encouraging and reinforcing the work.
 Following this exercise, lead a short discussion on what some of the terms mean,
how the terms relate to motivation and methods supervisors can use to
accomplish the motivation factor.
KEY LEARNING POINTS
This activity will challenge each learner to identify terms associated with motivation and
identify methods supervisors of motivating employees.
VARIATIONS

To raise a level of competition, have learners “shout out” when they find a term. Give
them a small prize to raise the competition level for a fun-filled approach.
