Advanced Placement Exam Schedule
Tests must be administered during their assigned test session as set forth by The College Board. Dates are between May
4-15, 2015. Please see Mrs. Cobb in the Counselor’s office for details.
Thursday, April 30 Last day for college visits.
Friday, May 1 Deadline to notify the Counselor’s office of all scholarship offers. Seniors who sign this list will be recognized during the Senior Day program. If you fail to sign the scholarship list, your name will not be called out!

Last day to request 7 semester transcripts.
9:00 a.m. – All seniors must be in the cafeteria lined up for Senior Day. Make sure you are dressed and ready to go!
No backpacks or purses allowed – please leave these in the Counselor’s office or at home.
FINAL TRANSCRIPTS: A final transcript request form will be completed by all students in the cafeteria prior to the Senior Day ceremony. Therefore it is VERY important that students arrive on time. This will be the time to let us know where to send your final transcript for Summer and
Fall classes.
SPECIAL NOTE TO THOSE STUDENTS TAKING DUAL CREDIT COURSES:
Please make sure that you send your GHS transcript to the college you plan to attend in the Fall
AS WELL AS a transcript from Holmes showing the Dual Credit college classes taken. You must contact Holmes CC to have them send your transcript.
10:00 – until 2015 Senior Day Program
Dress for senior girls – Black dress and black dress shoes (no strapless dresses! School dress code applies or you will be pulled and not allowed to participate in the program)
Dress for senior boys – Khaki slacks, white shirt, school colored tie, and dress shoes and socks.
(Boys and Girls - NO FLIP FLOPS!)
Seniors will be dismissed for the day following the Senior Day program.
Monday, May 11 Senior Exams for all “B” day classes . . . during the regular class period. Seniors with MORE
THAN 2 EXAMS on this day may defer any additional exams to Wednesday. YOU MUST MAKE
PRIOR ARRANGEMENTS WITH THE TEACHERS TO TAKE ANY EXAM ON WEDNESDAY!

Thursday, May 14 The deadline for paying all fines and fees, turning in all textbooks and/or library books, and returning all school uniforms. YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO PICK UP YOUR CAP AND GOWN until all school business is cleared.

Last REQUIRED DAY OF ATTENDANCE for seniors
Seniors will pick up Caps and Gowns in the Counselor’s Office between 7:45am-3:45pm. If you will not be able to pick up your cap and gown, you may have someone else pick it up for you.
Remember, you must have all your unfinished school business taken care of before you will be issued your cap and gown. There is a possibility that GPA’s will be ready so that honor graduates can be determined. If you anticipate being named an honor graduate, please bring
$15 cash with you. “Distinction” graduates (Cardinal cords) are those with a 90.00 to 93.99 GPA while “Special Distinction” graduates (Gold cords) have a 94.00 GPA or higher. All caps/gowns that are not picked up during this time will be available for pick up at graduation practice.
Thursday, May 21 10:00 a.m. – Graduation practice for the Class of 2015 at the Broadmoor Baptist Church on
Highland Colony Parkway.
Honor Cords will be available AFTER PRACTICE at a cost of $15.00 – CASH ONLY, EXACT CHANGE
ONLY. If you anticipate being named an honor graduate, please bring cash with you.

GRADUATING SENIORS ARE REMINDED THAT ATTENDANCE AT GRADUATION PRACTICE IS MANDATORY FOR
PARTICIPATION IN THE MAY 21 GRADUATION.
Thursday, May 21 7:00 p.m. – GHS GRADUATION CEREMONIES FOR THE CLASS OF 2015 AT BROADMOOR BAPTIST
CHURCH.
All seniors MUST report to the Madison Central parking lot by 5:30pm. **REMEMBER THAT
ALL GRADUATES WILL PARK AT MCHS AND WE WILL SHUTTLE YOU TO BROADMOOR.
Dress Code for Graduation: Girls – nice dress (you may use your dress from Senior Day), black dress shoes and if hosiery is desired, natural color only. Girls, heals are NOT recommended since you will be walking up and down stairs! Boys – dress slacks, dress shoes and socks, and a white dress shirt with a tie. Please be reminded that “proper dress and/or attire” is a part of the school policy for participation in graduation.

The Madison County School District Graduation Policy
Participation in any Madison County School Graduation is limited to those students who have completed ALL graduation requirements as specified by the MCSD School Board and the Mississippi State Board of Education. In addition, students participating in graduation shall comply with all rules and regulations regarding attendance at practice for graduation exercises, proper dress and/or attire, and any other regulation deemed appropriate.
Bruckner’s School Photography will be on hand to take pictures during the graduation ceremony for those who are interested. More information will be distributed at graduation practice.
