Diploma position in RNA-biology A Diploma position is available in the lab of Michael Jantsch at the Department of Chromosome Biology, Max F. Perutz Laboratories. Aim of the project is the characterization of a double-stranded RNAbinding domain that serves as a nuclear localization signal. The domain will be analyzed by NMR in collaboration with Frederic Allain at the ETH, Zürich. Practical work includes protein expression and purification, complex formation with RNA, labeling for NMR analysis, mutagenesis. The research project is funded as part of the special research program “RNA fate and function”. Joint SFB seminars and meetings provide practical expertise and a stimulating atmosphere.
