Position available as engineer to the Biomedical Innovation Center SFI-CAST, Department for Cellular and Genetic Therapy, Oslo University Hospital. The Department for Cellular- and Genetic Therapy is a research group with 15 employees that focuses on both stem cells and cancer. The group has a young and international environment and is located at modern facilities in the Oslo Research Park (Forskningsparken). The Department is heading the Centre for Research driven Innovation (SFI-CAST; www.cancerstemcell.no). The engineer will work on a research project on signal pathways for stem cells and tumours. One of the main goals is to study methods and substances that block the stem cell signal pathway Hh at different levels to block tumour growth. The person that is hired will be an important part of the group, and the position requires active participation in the research activities in the group. Main tasks The work is varied and requires techniques as basic molecular biology, cell culture and development of new methods.
