DESCRIPTION
Develop and implement individualized educational programming and child development principles adhering to all federal, state and local regulations within an active project based classroom setting. Implement positive behavior supports to encourage the development of self regulation, social competence and pro-social behaviors in preschool children. Complete screenings as well as formative and summative assessments for each child.
Partner with each child’s family to ensure a collaborative educational experience. Work flexible hours including evenings to meet family and program needs. Supervise, develop and evaluate Assistant Teacher.
Implements comprehensive family development services in partnership with child development services through home visitation services. Support the individualized goals of family members, building on and supporting strengths and maximizing family involvement in all program and agency services to support school readiness goals.
Maintains full enrollment in all assigned centers, by managing information on attendance, possible openings, coordinating with staff. Complete new enrollments within assigned timeframes.

Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services, Education, or
Business field with five years experience working in not for profit management. Demonstrated competence and experience in system analysis, procedure development.
Leadership experience in the development of systems, services, and organizations including continuous quality improvement management. Ability and skill with multisystem, multidirectional project management.
Strong oral and written communication skills including the ability to write grant applications create reports and conduct presentations. Experience in program planning and project management. Ability to use technology for tracking, reporting, and monitoring systems. Car and valid driver’s license.
Ensure the daily care of every child enrolled by following all program regulations and guidelines. Plans with and assists the lead teacher in preparing learning materials for activities appropriate for preschool age (3 to 5 years of age) children. Assist the lead teacher in planning and maintaining a safe, clean, learning environment, including serving nutritional meals for children. Share in the development and implementation of written lesson plans with the lead teacher. Accompany bus drivers during transportation to ensure the safety of all children.
Collaborate with parents to ensure a positive educational experience for each child. Perform other duties assigned by Lead Teacher.
Develop and manages implementation of work goals, policies, procedures and activities designed to implement applicable standards for Eligibility, Recruitment,
Selection, Enrollment and Attendance systems. Directs development and implementation of Transportation systems that ensure safe and efficient transportation services.
