you saw in the instructions upon arrival, to keep order I ask that if you have
a question, please type a question mark "?" and I'll keep a running list of
who is waiting to ask a question, and then I'll call on you when it's your turn.
Please wait until I type your name into the public area of the message board
b/4 you ask your question. I will try to private message a reminder b/4 your
actual turn comes up so you can be ready. If possible, please have your
questions typed out ahead of time. It saves a lot of time (I suggest throwing
them in a word doc and then cutting and pasting in the chat box when it's
your turn, you must use CTRL + V to paste the question). We don't want to
waste any time and also we want to get in as many questions as possible.
Elle and Deidre, please take as little or as much time as you would like on
each question. When you're done, throw out a GA (go ahead) so that I know

[b]About the series: Riley Poe leads the series as a gritty, unconventional
tattoo artist-turned-undead-slayer after her younger brother is lured into a
gang led by a pair of vicious Romanian vampires. In books 1,2,and 3, Riley,
a dead-sexy guardian vampire named Eli Dupre, his undead family and
Riley's surrogate grandparents-who are not only Gullah root doctors but
hoodoo conjurers as well--stalk the underside of Savannah, Charleston, and
a trip to the Old World as they track the deadly Arcos vampires to Romania.
The story unfolds through Riley's eyes in first person where you learn of
Riley's torrid past, her desires, and her fears as she falls hard for Eli,
becomes Victorian Arcos' obsession, and struggles not to become the very
thing she fights: a vampire.

you can--get your friend to read it, try to get some feedback from other
writers. That initial pitch is so important. That...and go over your pages by
reading aloud. Lately it seems I'm seeing a lot of sloppyish pages, which
surprises me. Missing words, typos, a lot of word repetition. THe sort of
thing that one notices if you read it aloud or definitely print it to review. :)
That would be some of my advice. Good luck!
