I obtained my Ph.D. in Bioinformatics in 2008 and have more than 8 years of bioinformatics research experience. As a post-doctoral fellow in Dr. Zhongming Zhao's lab at both Virginia Commonwealth University and Vanderbilt University, and currently as a research faculty member in the same lab, I developed bioinformatics strategies to perform advanced functional genomics analysis for data from genome-wide association studies (GWAS), constructed multi-dimensional data integration algorithms, and created the schizophrenia gene resource (SZGR) database. One of the tools I developed is the dense module search

(DMS) of enriched association signals from genome-wide association studies, which has been highly cited since its publication in early 2011. I would like to commit a major effort to this opportunity.
