POLICY TITLE: PRIORITY SNOW REMOVAL ROUTE 2010
EFFECTIVE DATE: NOVEMBER 16, 2010
Set Priority Snow Route
The Priority Snow Route 2010 be approved as appended here to, replacing
Policy No. 19-2008, being Snow Removal Priority Snow Route 2008.
1. From the town shop to the CPR tracks along Main Street north to south,
Ridge to corner.
2. On the first pass go in to the Crescent at the north end of 1st Street NW, to
open up for the Doctor.
3. 1st Street NW to (Narfasons Funeral Chapel), 1st Avenue NW east across
Main Street to 1st Street NE, south on 1st Street NE past the fire hall to
Highway 5 and return the same route. This will take care of the
ambulance and fire hall. Ridge to Centre.
4. 2nd Street NW past RCMP north to 2nd Avenue NW, then east on 2nd
Avenue NW to Main Street.
5. Move to Kennedy Avenue, clear Kennedy East to 6 th Street, north on 6th
Street to Portage Avenue, east on Portage Avenue to open up for the
other Doctor. Then back to 5th Street.
6. South on 5th Street to Hearn Avenue, east on Hearn through driveway at
Weneeda Park Lodge, west on Hearn to Jim Headington and south to
Highway 5.
7. Return to Jim Headington, north back to Kennedy, west on Kennedy to
Highway 35.
8. Back to Jim Headington for second pass to Highway 5.
9. Begin regular residential snow cleaning beginning with 6th Street NE the
Portage, Tolen, Pierce and Turnbull driveway.
10. Clear Curling rink and Skating Rink parking lots at approximately 4:00 –
4:45 pm on the way back to the shop.
