Job Description North Island Calf & Rural Scheme Coordinator 1. Primary Role of IHC Staff IHC’s mission is to advocate for the rights, inclusion and welfare of all people with an intellectual disability and support them to lead satisfying lives in the community. The primary role of all staff is to contribute to the achievement of IHC’s mission. 2. Primary Objectives To coordinate and manage the North Island Calf & Rural Scheme to raise funds though livestock donations from the farming community. 3. Relationships 3.1 Responsible to: National Manager Fundraising 3.2 Functional Relationships: IHC donors Sponsors Canvassers South Island Coordinator Area staff of IHC/IDEA Services Fundraising Administrator External suppliers Local media 4. Key Responsibilities Coordinate the North Island Calf & Rural Scheme Manage Contractors and Volunteers (“Canvassers”) Administration of the Calf & Rural Scheme 5. Key Result Areas 5.1 Coordinate Calf & Rural Scheme Coordinate and manage the North Island Calf & Rural Scheme Oversee the Calf Scheme Season Cycle ( Refer Appendix 1) Coordinate other fundraising initiatives related to the Calf & Rural Scheme Coordinate and oversee farm visits by Canvassers Liase with sponsors Liaise with communications team on newsletter/brochures/promotions Manage pre sale/sale/ post sale process by letter and telephone Manage relationships with product and service providers Record keeping and administration Job Description: North Island Calf & Rural Scheme Coordinator August 2011 Provide regular updates to the National Manager Fundraising Order resources for coming season Ensure Canvassers have an appropriate area for their expertise and home location 5.2 Manage Canvassers (Contractors and Volunteers) Identify/interview/employ/train part time Contractors Process employment contracts for approval from the National Manager Fundraising Motivate up to 40 Canvassers (both contractors and volunteers) located in the following areas: o Northland o Counties o Waikato o Taranaki o Manawatu o Bay of Plenty Verify invoices submitted by Contractors and send for processing to Fundraising Administrator 5.3 Administration Provide monthly written reports to the National Manager Fundraising and other information upon request Ensure accurate electronic records are kept of: o previous and current donor on Excel spreadsheet to target repeat donations for the following year. o current status of farmers eg retirement, change in location Ensure material and resources are: o kept up to date o kept in a tidy and logical order o part of an annual stocktake Verify accounts and send to Fundraising Administrator for processing 6.
