PRESS RELEASE NORTH WEST DISTRICT DELHI POLICE Dated: 26.9.2008 Acting on a secret information, a police team from PS-Ashok Vihar arrested one Subhash S/o Jogi Chaudhary, R/o H. No. 7770, Chimny Wala Katra, Subzi Mandi, Ghantaghar, Delhi at Satyawati red light, Ashok Vihar in the early hours on 24.9.08 and recovered 16 cartons of country made liquor of “Rashila Santara” brand from his possession. HC Bane Singh and Ct. Krishan of PS-Ashok Vihar while on patrolling reached near Satyawati College and received a secret information that a white coloured Santro Car would come from Gujarawalan Town on Satyawati flyover towards Ashok Vihar loaded with illicit liquor. On checking of vehicles at red light Satyawati College, at about 4.15 AM one santro car bearing No. DL-4CP-3026 came on Satyawati flyover towards Ashok Vihar and was signaled to stop. On checking the vehicle, 16 cartons of country made liquor (each cartons containing 50 quarters) total 800 quarters were recovered from the Santro car. Recovered country made liquor with Santro car was taken into police possession. A case vide FIR No.392 dated 24.9.08 u/s 78/61/1/14 Excise Act PS-Ashok Vihar has been registered and investigation is going on. Similarly acting on another secret information, Ct. Suresh nabbed one Ram Nath S/o Barsati, R/o Jhuggi Machhali Market, WIPA near Railway line and recovered 20 cartons of country made liquor. As each carton contained 12 bottles of country made liquor. DELHI. 26th September, 2008 MURDER MYSTERY SOLVED WITHIN 24 HOURS – EYES & EARS SCHEME LED TO THE ARREST OF THE ACCUSED With the arrest of a dreaded and hardcore criminal namely Sarwan aged 22 years s/o Godey Lal r/o Vill Chodiya, Distt. Khajaria, Bihar, Central District police has solved the murder mystery of a labourer that took place in the area of PS Kamla Market on 24.09.08. A blood stained knife used in the commission of offence has been recovered. INCIDENT One Pintu Mandal s/o Dhanjeet Mandal r/o Vill. & PO Manik Chak, Distt. Malda, West Bengal reported that he works as a labourer at MCD Civic Centre and resides at H.No. 3500, Dariba Pan, Pahar Ganj, Delhi along with few other labourers Vinod & Mukesh. He further stated that on 24.09.08, after finishing the work at the under construction building at Civil Centre, he along with Mukesh and Vinod was walking towards their temporary residence at Dariba Pan, Pahar Ganj. At about 8:15 PM, while they were climbing Pul Pahar Ganj, Vinod lagged behind the other two. In the meantime, someone stabbed Vinod and he ran for help towards his friends/co-workers (i.e. complainant & Mukesh) who were moving ahead of him and subsequently he fell down. He was rushed to the hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. Based on this, a case vide FIR No. 164/08 u/s 302 IPC was registered at PS Kamla Market and investigation was launched. TEAM & INVESTIGATION A team consisting of Inspr. Bala Sharma SHO/Kamla Market, SI Brijesh Mishra, HC Gajender, HC Narender, HC Vinod, HC Sukhpal and Ct. Rakesh was constituted under the supervision of Shri Ishwar Singh, ACP/Kamla Market, Central District, Delhi. It was a blind case. There was no clue about the identity of the accused person either the motive of the crime was not clear. During investigation, it surfaced that mobile phone of the deceased was also missing which led to the suspicion that the deceased might have been stabbed with the intention to rob him. The local intelligence was gathered and the rag pickers of the nearby areas were also contacted under ‘Eyes & Ears Scheme’. It gave fruitful results and a secret information was received that one Sarwan and his associates are involved in the murder. The information was further developed and it was revealed that Sarwan had recently been released from jail in a case of robbery of PS Nabi Karim. Sources were deployed to verify the whereabouts of Sarwan and he was apprehended by the police team. On his search, one blood stained knife was also recovered. During sustained interrogation, he disclosed that he had committed a number of incidents of theft and he used to collect money from the rag pickers near New Delhi Railway Station. Previously, he was arrested in a robbery case of PS Nabi Karim in which he was convicted. He was recently released from jail and was in need of money. On the day of incident, he was desperately looking for a soft target. When he came up on flyover, he found one person (deceased) was approaching there. He caught him and after looting his mobile phone, he stabbed him with a knife. During the incident, the deceased had shown resistance and hence, he (accused) had stabbed him with a knife. The weapon of offence (blood stained knife) had also been recovered from his possession. Further investigation is in progress and efforts are being made to recover the robbed mobile phone. PROFILE Sarwan s/o Godey Lal r/o Vill Chodiya, Distt. Khajaria, Bihar is 22 years old. He is illiterate. He is a dreaded criminal and used to collect money from the rag pickers and mounted pressure upon the local ruffians. He was recently released from jail and was in need of money. So, he committed the murder of the deceased after robbing his mobile phone. On verification of his involvements, it was revealed that Sarwan was previously involved in two cases of thefts of PS Nabi Karim & Pahar Ganj, one robbery case of PS Nabi Karim, two cases of arms act of PS Pahar Ganj & New Delhi Railway Station. WANTED IN A SENSATIONAL DAY LIGHT DACOITY AT A JEWELLERS HOUSE AT KHURJA CITY (UP) AND CAR JACKING, GANGSTER ACT etc. ALSO INVOLVED IN DOZENS OF HENIOUS CASES LIKE MURDER, DACOITY AND OTHERS Special Operation Squad, Crime Branch of Delhi Police has arrested a notorious gangster namely Ikram @ Arif S/o Abdul Gani R/o Mo. Shekh Bara, Sikandarabad, DisttBuland Shahar(UP). He is one of the most wanted criminals of western UP. He is involved in dozens of heinous crimes. A reward of Rs.2500/-,was declared on his arrest and further a request to enhance reward from Rs.2500/- to 10,000/- has been moved by SSP Buland Shahar U.P. to D.G., U.P. Police. Ct Vikal Singh of Special Operation Squad received an information that a desperate criminal namely Ikram @ Arif who is wanted in several heinous cases including a day light dacoity at the house of a jeweller of Khurja will be coming to meet his associate at M2K Cinema Hall Rohini, Delhi. On this information a team consisting of above said officials was constituted and a trap was laid near M2K Cinema Hall Rohini. At about 7PM the said gangster came there and sensing the presence of police team he whipped out a country made pistol of .315 bore and pointed at Ct. Vikal Singh. But Ct. Vikal Singh showed exemplary courage and overpowered him. The pistol was found to be loaded. One live cartridges was also recovered from the accused. In July 2008, he robbed a “ Bolero” car from Khurja Railway Junction and a case vide FIR No. 100 U/s 392 IPC PS- Kotwali, Khurja City. Accused is still wanted in this case. In the month of July 2008 itself he committed a house robbery and looted cash and jewellery at Gulawati, Bulandshahar (UP). A case FIR No. 232/08 U/s 394 IPC has been registered at PS- Gulawati, Bulandshahar (UP).He is still absconding in the said case. Accused is also wanted in Gangster Act vide Crime No.587/08 U/s2/3 Gangster Act PSKotwali Khurja city. Accused has been arrested Vide FIR No.633/08 U/s 25/27 Arms Act PS- Rohini, Delhi. Concerned Police Stations have been informed accordingly. Investigations are on. TWO DESPERATE BURGLARS ARRESTED BY SPECIAL TEAM. With the arrest of accused persons namely Ishwar @ Jaggi s/o Jaswant singh, r/o S-8 Mangol.Puri, Delhi and Shamsuddin s/o Din Mohd. r/o K-628, Mangolpuri Delhi, Special Team of Crime Branch has busted a gang of burglars and have seized one desi katta and six live cartridges along with gold jewellery worth lacs of rupees burgled from different houses. On 24-09-08, an information was received by H.C. Rishi No. 229/Cr. of Special Team that one desperate B.C. namely Ishwar @ Jaggi would come to petrol pump, Rohini along with his associate Shamsuddin, another B.C. , to plan a burglary in the area. Acting on this information, the Special Team apprehended both of them. On their personal search, one katta of .32 bore and 2 live cartridges were recovered from the possession of Ishwar @ Jaggi and four live cartridges of .415 bore were recovered from the possession of Shamsuddin. Both are active B.C. of PS Mangolpuri. They have confessed having committed around 10-15 burglaries in the area of PS Jahangirpuri, Mangolpuri, Sultanpuri and Uttam Nagar. Further search of their houses was conducted and jewellery burgled from various houses have been recovered. Many cases of burglary of PS Sultanpuri, Jahangipuri and Uttam Nagar have been worked out. Dated: 25.09.2008 A GANG OF WOMEN EXTORTIONISTS BUSTED – TWO ARRESTED With the arrest of two women extortionist namely Sunita (name changed) r/o Tughlakabad and Preeti (name changed) r/o Mayur Vihar PhaseIII Delhi, South West Distt. police has busted a gang of women who extort money by frightening people for implicating them falsely in a rape case. Accordingly, a case has been registered vide FIR No. 406/08 u/s384/388/34 IPC and two accused has been arrested. On 24.09.07 one person namely Nishant Gaur r/o DDA flats, Mansarovar Park reported to the PS Sarojini Nagar that three women had extorted money by threatening him to implicate him in a false rape case. The complainant informed that he was working in Hello Mineral Water, Safdarjung Enclave. He was on the way from Bhikaji Kama to Chanakya Puri via Africa Avenue Road. When he reached at roundabout of Netaji Nagar, he stopped his motorcycle to answer a call on his mobile phone. Suddenly three women appeared at scene. One of them sat on his motor cycle and another lady stood in front of his motorcycle and third woman took out keys of his motorcycle and demanded money threatening that they all would raise alarm and implicate him in a rape case. On this complaint, a team was constituted and search of the accused women was started. After some time the team alongwith complainant Nishant Gaur, while roaming in the area, noticed that two of the accused women are standing at Netaji Nagar round-about looking for another prey. The complainant identified that these are the same women who had threatened him to implicate him in a false rape case and extorted Rs.100/-.
