Utilization of genetic approaches for effective conservation of endangered species Regional workshop, Zvolen, January 25–27, 2012, Preliminary program General information: This is still preliminary program! Important part of the workshop should be informal discussions during coffee breaks, dinner/lunch breaks and banquet. The main aim of the ConGRESS project is to join the worlds of conservation managers and scientists – do not hesitate to propose your own ideas for collaborations during the meeting. We hope that we will be able to create the friendly atmosphere in Zvolen that will result in a fruitful utilisation of genetic approaches in future conservation projects. Language of the workshop: The official languages of the workshop are English/Polish/Czech/Slovak. We would like to make the workshop useful as much as possible also to people that do not speak fluent English, so the most preferred combination is: (1) talks in Polish/Czech/Slovak and (2) written text in your presentations in English. However, all other combinations of these four languages will be welcome as well (especially talks in English). Preliminary program of the meeting: Wendesday, 25.1.2012 13.00–13.30 Welcome (L. In the cooperation with conservation organizations a number of web applications were created and a series of local workshops will be organized to disseminate the possibilities of the genetic tools. The project is financially supported by the 7th EU Framework Program. See more details at http://www.congressgenetics.eu/
