PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
This one day program will explore a unified strategic approach for
ADD that incorporates psychosocial support/ therapy and coaching,
medications, and use of evidence-based complementary therapies. A
comprehensive overview of ADD/HD is included that reviews
diagnosis, the role of executive function, and the neurology of ADD.
Complementary and integrative medicine approaches for ADD will be
reviewed with particular attention to nutritional approaches,
supplements and mind-body therapies, with particular attention to
safety.
The Goal of this program is to provide nurses, counselors, social
workers and other allied health professionals with the knowledge and
tools to provide quality care to adults with ADHD.

At the end of the program, each participant will be able to: (In

Identify integrated treatment strategies

Recognize diagnostic elements and executive function features

Recognize the neurologic differences in the brain including
neurotransmitters


CREDIT
You must attend 90% of each of the individual educational session
in order to receive CE credit. Certificate of attendance must be
obtained at the conclusion of the offering. No partial credit will be
given.
Nurses:
This educational activity has been awarded 6.5 contact hours.
Spartanburg Regional Corporate Education is an approved provider
of continuing nursing education by the South Carolina Nurses
Association, an accredited approver of continuing education by the
American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on
Accreditation.
Social Workers:
This program has been approved by the South Carolina Board of
Social Work Examiners for 6.5 (trained) hours of continuing
education.
Counselors:
This program has been approved for 6.5 hours of continuing
education by Spartanburg Regional Corporate Education under its
accreditation by the state of South Carolina Board of Examiners
for Licensed Professional Counselors, Marital and Family
Therapists, and Psycho Educational Specialists.
Others:
This program provides 6.5 hours of continuing education.

DIRECTIONS
From Greenville on I-85, take exit 69 to business 85. Then take exit 5-A (I585 / Pine St.) toward downtown Spartanburg. Go approximately 2 miles to
first stoplight. Turn right onto McCravv Drive. Go a short distance to next
stoplight. Turn right onto Wood St. Go up the hill and around the curve.
Spartanburg Regional is on the left and the parking garage is on the right.
Take the walkway on the 3rd floor to go to the hospital.
Stop by the front desk of the hospital’s main lobby and ask for directions to
Heart Center Auditorium. Follow the signs on the walls and above the
hallways.
From Charlotte on I-85, take exit 77 to Business 85. Then take exit 5-A (I-585
/ Pine St) and follow the above directions to the hospital.
From I-26 (east from Asheville or west from Columbia), take exit 19B to
Business 85 going north. Then take exit 5-A (I-585 / Pine St) and follow the
above directions to the hospital.

SPEAKERS
Danna Park, MD, FAAP, FACP
Dr. Park specializes in Integrative and Internal Medicine and
Pediatrics.
She is the Director of Mountain Integrative Medicine in Asheville,
where she provides integrative consultations for adults and children
with a variety of medical conditions.
In addition, Dr. Park holds faculty positions in both the department of
Family Medicine at UNC-Chapel Hill School of Medicine and in
Integrative Medicine at the University of Arizona.
Rudy Rodriguez, LCSW
Rudy Rodrigues is the founder of the ADHD Center for Success. He
began working with ADHD children in 1981 and has maintained a
private clinical practice in Asheville, NC.
Rudy Rodriguez is a Certified Intrinsic Coach.
“Coach” Rudy specializes in coaching individuals, business
professionals, entrepreneurs and others who struggle with ADHD and
issues of time management, disorganizations, distractions and
workplace stress. He presents lively and informative workshops about
adult ADHD.
