BRIEF BIOGRAPHICAL SKETCH Betsy Busch, MD, FAAP Dr. Busch is a pediatrician and subspecialist in Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics. She is an Associate Clinical Professor of Pediatrics at the Tufts University School of Medicine. Her research and clinical work has focused on children, adolescents and young adults with ADHD, learning disabilities and related neurodevelopmental and psychiatric disorders. She has expertise in stateof-the-art, pharmacological and non-pharmacological treatments of patients with ADHD and its comorbidities. Her other areas of expertise include: effective classroom teaching techniques; appropriate accommodations for the classroom/workplace for children, adolescents and adults with ADHD and other neurodevelopmental disorders; and standards for the evaluation of competence and mastery in children and adults with learning disorders and ADHD. Dr. Busch consults with a variety of corporations, private organizations and educational institutions, and has served on Clinical Advisory Boards for several pharmaceutical companies. She is a Certified Clinician for Major/Minor League Baseball (MLB), for players who may have ADHD. She also is the author of several articles and commentaries on ADHD and child development, is an invited reviewer for a variety of scholarly journals, and is a nationally known teacher. Dr. Busch is a Trustee of Tufts University. She also is on the Board of the Massachusetts Children’s Trust, and the American Professional Society for ADHD and Related Disorders (APSARD).
