Biographical Sketch: Anne Provencher Bolliger, DVM, MSc, DACVP, DECVCP Anne Provencher Bolliger received her Veterinary Medicine and Masters degrees (DVM MSc) degrees at The University of Montreal, Canada. After 3 years in small animal practice and 3 years in a contract research organization, Dr Provencher pursued her interest in clinical pathology by completing a residency at Michigan State University (MSU) and later obtained board certification with the American College of Veterinary Pathology in Clinical Pathology. She worked as an assistant professor in clinical pathology for 4 years at the University of Berne in Switzerland followed by 3 years in the endocrine diagnostic section of the Animal Health Diagnostic Laboratory at MSU. In 2002, Dr Provencher joined Novartis Pharma AG in Basel, Switzerland where she was Head of the clinical pathology laboratory in Safety Profiling and Assessment (preclinical safety) for 6 years. In the summer of 2008, she moved back to Canada and took a position at Charles River Laboratories as Senior Clinical Pathologist. Dr Provencher participates to cross industry initiatives and position papers with other pathologists from pharmaceutical companies, mainly in the field of bone marrow evaluation. She is one of the co-founder, past secretary and past chairperson of the Credential Committee of the European College of Veterinary Clinical Pathology (ECVCP); she presently remains an active member of the Credential Committee. She is the chair of the Regulatory Affair Committee of the ASVCP, as well as a member of the Career Development and Recruitment Committee of the Society of Toxicological Pathology (STP).
