Step 2: Research your person and/or topic. For this project you must use at least 1 primary source and 2
secondary sources, but I encourage you to use more! As you are researching you need to take notes and
remember if you are using EXACT WORDING from the text, YOU MUST cite the information.
Step 3:
For Flyer: You must include the following about your person:
A. Background (DOB, Education, etc.)
B. What role did he/she play in the events of World War II? (Dictator, President, Commander, etc.)
C. Why are they significant to World War II? (Did they lead a famous battle? a country to victory? etc.)
D. A famous quote by him/her
E. Any other important information
F. Picture
For Newspaper Article: You must include the following in your newspaper:
A. Appropriate parts of a newspaper (heading, date, etc.)
B. Explain/Describe the event/situation in detail (Think: WHO, WHAT, WHEN, WHERE???)
C. Include the outcomes of the event/situation
D. Use appropriate pictures/illustrations
E. Write the article from the perspective of the time period discussed or as a reflection piece looking
back decades later.
F. Any other important information
Step 4: Put your sources in MLA format and turn in a bibliography with your project.
