tenders from eligible bidders/concerns in respect of proposed installation of Batteries for UPS under buy-back
arrangement at its various branches under the state of Karnataka & Kerala as per the following specifications,

Bidders should have minimum 5 years of experience in this line of activity.
Bidders should have supplied batteries to Public / Private sector Banks in the last one year and their
service should be satisfactory. Produce certificate from the institutions.
Vendors who have already supplied batteries to our Branches have to submit the satisfactory service
support report from atleast two of concerned branches, failing which their proposal will not be
considered.
Vendor must have the service centres / engineers locally in all major centres of Karnataka & Kerala
(submit details).

Bidders are free to quote prices for any one of the above four makes of batteries. Bank reserves the right to
accept/reject any make/price without assigning any reasons thereof.

Date of commencement: - The date of commencement shall be reckoned as the date of work order
issued to the successful Bidder.
Time of completion: - The work shall be completed in all respect within a period of 1 (one) week.
Liquidated damage: - If the supplier fails to complete the job within the stipulated time, the bank will
be entitled to charge liquidated damage @ 0.5% of the accepted contract sum per week subject to a
maximum of 10% of the accepted contract sum.
Validity Period:- The price quoted will be valid for a period of One Year.
Order will be placed branch wise as per requirement from time to time.
Delivery freight and all other similar charges shall be borne by the supplier and no separate payment
shall be made on this account.
All rubbish/Cartons and superfluous materials should be removed from site at the cost of contractor
after completion of work and prior to submission of final bill. Rubbish may be disposed off outside
Municipal limits. The contractor will have to clean the furniture and fixtures etc. upto the satisfaction
of bank daily upto the completion of work.
Any damage caused by the workman of the contractor to wall, ceiling, floors or existing furniture &
fixtures etc. should be made good at their cost.
The contractor shall make arrangement for storage of materials, if required, tools and equipments
etc at site and the bank shall not bear any expenses and risk also on this accounts.
Any materials found defective by the bank during or after execution of work shall be removed from
site by the contractor and such materials should not be re-used in the work.
In case of extremely unsatisfactory execution, incompetence, bad workmanship, use of materials
officially rejected by the bank, Bank is empowered to terminate the contract and engage separate
agencies for completing the work on contractors risk & cost by serving 3 days notice to the
contractor.
The contractor will observe all necessary precaution at his cost to safeguard the workers during
execution of work.
Item rate should be inclusive of all taxes, cess, octroi etc. whatsoever and bank will not entertain any
claims of the contractor in this respect.
Contractors are advised to see the proposed site/branch premises before quoting their rates.
The rates in the tender should be mentioned in figures as well as in words.
The bidder has to submit BID Security for Rs.20000/- in the form of DD/Pay Order/Banker’s
Cheque favoring Allahabad Bank, Payable at Bangalore valid for three months along with the tender.
The Successful bidder has to furnish Performance Security for an amount of 10% of the order value
in the form of Bank Guarantee of the period of 60 days more after the date of completion of warranty
as prescribed in the performance security form. On Submission of Performance Security Bid Security
will be returned for the successful bidder.
The bid security of the unsuccessful bidders will be returned after completion of tendering process.
In case of Battery failure during warranty period, the vendor has to replace the batteries at their own
cost.
The vendor has to replace the entire set of batteries within a week, in case of more than two
occasion failure occurs during warranty period.
