electricity of older models. Upgrade today with the help of a rebate from the San Francisco Community Power
Cooperative and start saving on your energy bills.

4 Steps to a Rebate:
1) Join the San Francisco Community Power Cooperative
2) Buy a new Energy Star refrigerator. Due to possible labeling errors, please make sure that your
refrigerator is Energy Star qualified by calling the Co-op, visiting www.energystar.gov or calling
1-888-STAR-YES. Only refrigerators that appear on the Energy Star list qualify for the rebate.
3) Recycle your old Refrigerator. Call Sunset Scavenger at (415) 330-1300 to arrange for a pick-up.
Refrigerators must be placed on the curb with the door removed or taped shut for safety by
6:00am the day of the scheduled pickup. Apartment building collection must be arranged through
building manager. Ask Sunset Scavenger for a confirmation number when you call.
4) Complete and send in this application with purchase receipt and low-income verification form
(if applicable) within 30 days of purchase to:

Rules:















Program starts April 26, 2003 and ends August 31, 2003, or when program funds are exhausted.
Program is first-come, first-serve, while funds last.
To qualify you must be a residential Co-op member living in 94124 or 94107 zip codes.
Limit one rebate per residential Co-op Member.
Refrigerator must be purchased for the Co-op member’s household.
Refrigerator must be new and Energy Star rated based on current Energy Star listing. Call the Co-op, visit
www.energystar.gov or call 1-888-STAR-YES to check if a specific model qualifies.
Old refrigerator must be recycled with Sunset Scavenger. Call 415-330-1300 to schedule pickup.
Old refrigerator may not be sold, used by another person, or used by the customer as a second refrigerator.
Rebate may not exceed the delivered cost of the refrigerator.
Customer must complete and return an application with purchase receipt and low-income qualification form.
Application must be submitted within 30 days of purchase.
Application must be postmarked by September 30, 2003.
San Francisco Community Power Cooperative must receive proof of recycling from Sunset Scavenger.
San Francisco Community Power Cooperative reserves the right to accept or reject any application.
San Francisco Community Power Cooperative is not responsible for applications lost or delayed by mail.
