ABOUT THE ARTIST
Catherine has been working with clay and
glass for more than 25 years. She has a
BFA degree in ceramics from BGSU and
her graduate studies was in hot glass at
OSU. Her art work is sold at art shows in
Ohio, some galleries and by appointment
at her home Studio.
Cathy has loved offering classes in her
pottery studio to all ages since 1994. She
also has been sharing the joy of painting
and drawing through classes. She is
dedicated to development and growth of
children’s art skills at all ages. She
believes that creating ART should be an
enjoyable experience for young children
and more challenging as one matures.
Therefore she provides a comfortable
environment for free expression in her
home studio. Pieces of art are created
using high quality supplies and the
encouragement and knowledge of a
professional artist. Cathy’s clay studio is
located at 371 N. Granview Rd. This is

FAMILY CLAY DAY
Up to five family members or friends work in Cathy’s
clay studio creating their own pieces on the pottery
wheels and at the studio table. Keep all that you

This basic class includes pinch pots,
pottery wheel, coil pots, cookie cutter
pins, magnets, hand/foot prints and
sculptures. Repeat students advance

different
projects.

Working at their own pace, students
learn the pottery wheel, pinch and coil
pots, sculptures, slab work and wind
chimes. Use your own ideas! They
glaze all pieces with lead free, high
temperature glazes.
Students work at individual skill levels on the pottery
wheel and hand building projects. Can’t make these
dates? Cathy can help you form your own class around
you and your friends’ schedules.
