GENERAL
Indian Museum, Ministry of Culture, Government of India, invites sealed tenders from well
established , experienced , reputed and professionally run printing/publishing houses in
India possessing requisite technical capabilities, the state of art facilities and fulfilling other
eligibility criteria for publication of a book on Commemorative Volume on the History of
the Indian Museum on a turnkey basis.
The interested bidders shall have to apply on prescribed tender form available on our web
site www.indianmuseumkolkata.org by downloading it. The interested bidders shall have to
pay tender document fee of Rs.500 which is non -refundable and earnest money deposit of
Rs.30000 (Rs. Thirty thousand only) in the form of crossed demand draft in favour of ‘Indian
Museum Trust Account’.
The time schedule for submission and opening of bid is as under:1. Last date for submission of Bid 10.11.2014 up to 2 P.M.
3. Date of opening of Technical bid 11.11.2014 at 11 am.
3. Date of opening of financial bid after decision on Technical Bid – 12.11.2014 at 11 am
The interested parties will have to submit tender document in two parts.
First part will be 'Technical bid' consisting of tender document fee of Rs. 500 which is non refundable and earnest money deposit of Rs. 30,000 (Rs. Thirty thousand only) in the form
of crossed demand draft in favour of ‘Indian Museum Trust Account’ payable at Kolkata,
proof of eligibility qualification with broad details about the publisher and also signed copy
of terms & conditions as given in tender document complete in all respects.
The second part of bid will be “Financial bid” containing all the details as required in
“Financial bid” document given in tender document.

The envelopes containing “Technical bid” & “Financial bid “be super scribed as under:1- "Technical bid" for publication of a book on ‘Commemorative Volume on the History of
the Indian Museum’.
2- “Financial bid” for publication of a book on ‘Commemorative Volume on the History of
the Indian Museum’.
Both the above envelopes containing Technical bid & Financial bid shall be together placed
in a third sealed envelope with the superscription "Technical & Financial Bid for publication
of a book on ‘Commemorative Volume on the History of the Indian Museum’. All the
envelopes should contain the detailed address of the bidders.
The bid document, complete in all respects and sealed properly shall be deposited in tender
box kept in the office of Director, Indian Museum 27, Jawaharlal Nehru Road, Kolkata700016 latest by 10.11.2014 up to 2 P.M
The Financial bid of the bidders who do not conform to requisite specification & fulfil other
conditions in their technical bid shall not be opened. One authorized representative of each
of the vendor/supplier may participate at the time of opening of bid.
TERMS & CONDITIONS
1. Eligibility Criteria- The bidder may submit his bid against this tender enquiry only if he is
well established , experienced , reputed and professionally run printing/publishing house in
India possessing requisite technical capabilities, the state of art facilities and fulfils the
following eligibility criteria –
(a) The Bidder should have an experience of at least five years in publishing work.

(b) The Bidder should have min. experience of publishing at least three latest
Museums/Heritage related books, specimen copies of which should be attached with
Technical bid.
(c). The Bidder should have his own well established Printing Press or should have support
of a panel of Printing Press.
(d) The Bidder should have its requisite technical staff for executing the work.

3. The interested bidders shall have to submit tender document in two parts. First part will
be 'Technical bid' and Second part of bid will be “Financial bid”. Both the 'Technical bid' and
“Financial bid” shall be submitted in two separate sealed envelopes. The envelopes
containing “Technical bid” & “Financial bid “shall be super scribed as "Technical bid" and
“Financial bid” Both the above envelopes containing Technical bid & Financial bid shall be
together placed in a third sealed envelope with the superscription "Technical & Financial
Bid for publication of a book on ‘Commemorative Volume on the History of the Indian
Museum’. All the envelopes should contain the detailed address of the bidders.
4. The Sealed Technical bid envelop shall contain the following
Application Letter on annexure A1

General Information on annexure A2

Proof of Experience of at least five years in publishing work.

Proof of publishing at least three latest Heritage and Museums related books. The
specimen copies of at least three such publications should be attached with
Technical bid.

Proof owning well established Printing Press or proof of support of a panel of
Printing Press.

Detail of requisite technical staff for executing the work.

Any other information including profile of the Bid.
5. The sealed Financial bid envelop shall contain the Price Quotation on annexure B. The
firm will have to quote price bid inclusive of all taxes and duties if any as per the Price Bid
format enclosed in the tender form.
6. All tenders strictly in the prescribed form should be submitted before the Date & Time of
submission, as specified, along with this tender, duly signed and stamped, as a token of
acceptance of terms and conditions of this tender.

7. Tenders shall be either type written or written neatly in indelible ink.
8. The Director, Indian Museum shall have the right to accept or reject any or all tenders
without assigning any region thereof.
9. Bidder must sign and stamp all the pages of tender document even if he is not using these
pages while filling the tender document or annexing separate sheets for the information
required on these sheets.
10. SECURITY MONEY:
The successful bidder shall have to deposit Security Money of Rs. 30000 in the shape of
bank draft in favour of ‘Indian Museum Trust Account’ .The Security Money shall be
released within one month of successful implementation of the work. No interest will be
payable on Security Money.
