Job Description Director of Information Technology Services Reports to: Department: Executive Vice President Information Technology Status: Salary: Full time, Exempt TBD Summary The Director of Information Technology Services leads the Information Technology department of Grace Bible College. In this leadership position, the Director of IT Services will bring a high level of expertise in Information Technology providing direction, policies, support, and training to the College. The Director of IT Services is responsible for maintaining and improving both hardware and software systems campus wide. The Director of IT Services will assist various departments with specific technology needs to improve workflow and efficiency. Essential Duties: Oversee the maintenance and development of campus IT infrastructure Ensure data integrity and security through practices and policies including documented backup procedures Chair the campus technology committee to foster open communication across the campus regarding needs, concerns and policies Align IT staffing with campus needs and departmental goals including regular evaluation of current staff and third party vendors Evaluate and document Information Technology needs of the campus as part of Institutional Effectiveness processes Train and/or arrange training for staff to effectively use various campus systems Serve as campus CAMS Manager or designate a qualified CAMS manager Serve as campus Blackboard administrator or designate a qualified Blackboard administrator Initiate multi-year planning for IT services as part of campus strategic planning Propose yearly IT budget and operate IT department within budgetary constraints Provide timely reporting as needed for accreditation, annual audit and other needed reports Provide IT support services for faculty, staff and students of Grace Bible College Other responsibilities and functions as requested by the Executive Vice President Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education/Training – The successful candidate will hold a degree in computer science or related field. Judgment – Sound decision making, prioritization skills, prompt follow up, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously are key elements. Work Environment - While performing duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. Some evening and weekend hours will be required.
