Who can enter?
Entries are invited from events and festivals (in private, voluntary or public sectors) who can demonstrate significant tourism impact including successfully attracting visitors to, and entertaining them in, Northern Ireland.

NB: Please read the General Notes for Guidance and Best Practice Guidelines for further judging criteria to include in your entry.
Please provide as much detail as possible when illustrating your response to the following questions/topics to help facilitate judging of your entry:
1. Please outline the key aims and objectives of the event/festival, including marketing objectives.
2. Please detail any partnership working, innovative and enterprising aspects of the event/festival and how you have made your event/festival visitor-centric.
3. Please provide detail of planning, implementing and delivering the event/festival.
4. Please provide measures of event/festival success. This may include visitor numbers, spend and feedback as well as benefits for the local area and/or Northern Ireland.
In addition, under each question on the entry form we have provided examples of the type of information that would help to strengthen your answer.
Shortlisted entries in this category will be open for Public Vote to decide the final winners.

Example:: Your entry should illustrate clear goals and should illustrate the objectives of the event to highlight the definitive tourism elements. For example, tell us about the event’s ability to attract visitors from outside the local authority area i.e rest of NI, ROI and GB and Overseas. Also, the event’s ability to deliver visitor spend to the economy. Illustrate your response with how you have been innovative in differentiating yourself from other (competing) projects.

Please detail any partnership working, innovative and enterprising aspects of the event/festival and how you have made your event/festival visitor-centric.
Example: How have you been creative and inventive in developing the event/festival eg planning its delivery, working with others and/or in its implementation? What new processes have you introduced to enhance the sustainability and capacity for growth of the project, or to positively influence the customer/visitor journey? Have you evidence of the positive impact on the quality and value of your innovative or enterprising activity?

Please provide detail of planning, implementing and delivering the event/festival.
Example: Your entry should illustrate how you have delivered your event/festival and how your organisation is structured to deliver. What is the wider social impact of your event, such as the development of communities, the enhancement of civic pride and celebration and the advancement of people’s skills? Do you use volunteers or seasonal workers? What role do partners and third parties have in making the event a memorable experience? How do you manage them? Do you have operational or quality standards and how do you make sure you deliver to them?

Example: Your entry should include quantitative as well as qualitative information highlighting how successful your event/festival has been. You may wish to provide back-up independent evaluation results. It may also be useful to include details on media impact. You may wish to include how you will
challenge yourself/your team to improve your event in the future.
